Eula Belle Williams Eula Williams Martin was called to her heavenly home, Friday, March 27, 2015 at Skyline Nursing & Rehab. She was born April 17, 1910 to Charles and Olive Jane Bower Williams in Floyd County Virginia where she lived her entire life. She was a loving wife, mother and sister and loved all her extended family. She was a member of Red Oak Grove Church of the Brethren. She was preceded in death by her mother and father; her husbands, Sherman Blackwell, Carl Quesenberry and Eldridge Martin; her son Rev. Robert Blackwell; daughter-in -law Hazel Hylton Blackwell; 2 sons-in-law Richard Shank and Frank Shelor; Step-children Marvin T. Martin, Charles R. Martin, Gertrude Cox, Verna Dalton, Eugene Quesenberry; great-grandson, Mitchell Hall; 3 sisters and 5 brothers. She is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Nancy Jane Shank, Ileda Shelor, Catherine Louise & Rev.Thomas Hall, Mary and W.B. Nolan; son and daughters-in-law, Kenneth and Kathy Blackwell; Daughter-in-Law, Patricia Blackwell; stepson, Fred Quesenberry; sister, Arlene Blackwell; Grandchildren, Joel (Amanda) Shank, Stewart Shank, Belva Shelor, Melva Shelor, Steve (Arleen) Hall, Sherman L. (Nancy) Hall, Timothy (Dana) Hall, Joe (Lisa) Blackwell, Kim (Paul) Shivley, Will (Linette) Nolen, Heather Nolen, Charles (Janice) Blackwell, Matthew (Kelly) Blackwell; numerous step grandchildren, great- grandchildren, step great- grandchildren, great-great grandchildren and step great-great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. A special thank you to Dr. Lawrence Marshall, Dr. Susan Osborne and Skyline Staff. Heaven opened up and took a special angel, our angel, Larry Stewart Atkinson, 73, of Shawsville, on Wednesday, December 9, 2015. Larry was an entrepreneur/philanthropist, worked at the Virginia Department of Transportation, was in business 51 years with A-1 Auto Sales and A-1 Wrecker Service as well as Elliston Mobile. He was a charter member of the Elliston Rescue Squad, former member of the Elliston Fire Department, as well as member of the Craig Hill Masonic Lodge, Kazim Shrine Temple. Larry was President of the Shawsville Elementary School PTA and was proud recipient of the key to the town of Shawsville. Larry loved to hunt, fish, collect antiques, listen to bluegrass, and was a huge Nascar fan. He never met a stranger, was loved by many and remembered by all who knew him. Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Banks R. Atkinson and Clarice Stewart Atkinson. He is survived by his wife, Judy Austin Atkinson; daughter Lorrie Mims and husband, Johnny of Murrells Inlet, S.C; stepchildren, Rhonda Hall, Skeeter Hall and wife, Shawna; grandchildren, Robbie Martin, Yvette Martin, Amber Hall, Adam Hall; great grandchild, Elli Hurst; special employee, Lynn Price; as well as his beloved pet, Prissy Cat. Thanks to all the staff at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital in SICU for taking care of our special Angel. Interment will follow in Wilson Cemetery, Check. on December 1, 2015.5 He died on December 9, 2015 at Virginia at age 73.5

Family remaining to cherish her memory includes her daughters, Kathy (Leon) Woods of Fincastle, Va., Carol (Michael) McGuire of Estill Springs, Tenn., and Beverly (Cecil) Ayers of Nashville, Tenn; Nine grandchildren; Nineteen great-grandchildren; six siblings, Sue Poff of Mt. Juliet, Tenn., Audrey (Wilson) Poff of Roanoke, Va., Betty (Larry) Rodabaugh of Milwaukee, Wis., Doris (Joe) Moses of Mt. Juliet, Tenn., Lynnwood (Skip) Sweeney of Cleveland, Ga., Wayne (Janette) Sweeney of Salem, Va; brother-in-law, Frank (Patsy) Dalton of Princeton, W. Va; and sister-in-law, Betty Dalton of Salem, Va.. Numerous nieces and nephews, scattered throughout the United States, also survive. Interment will be private at Cedar Lawn Memorial Park in Roanoke. on November 23, 2019.4

William Traynham "Bill" Dalton Jr. William T. “Bill” Dalton, Jr., 93, of Salem, Va., passed away surrounded by family on Monday, February 18, 2019, at the Salem VA Medical Center. Bill was born on February 2, 1926, in McDowell, WVa. He served in the US Navy during World War II and was proud to serve his country. Bill was a strong Christian and an active member of the Living Well Church of the Nazarene in Salem. Bill retired after 60 plus years as a barber in Salem. He also enjoyed woodworking and various other hobbies. Surviving Bill are his wife of 69 years, Freddie Sweeney Dalton; daughters, Kathy (Leon) Woods of Fincastle, Va; Carol (Michael) McGuire of Estill Springs, Tenn., and Beverly (Cecil) Ayers of Mt. Juliet, Tenn; brother, Frank (Patsy) Dalton of Princeton, WVa; nine grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren. Interment will immediately follow at Cedar Lawn Memorial Park in Roanoke.1 He was buried at Cedar Lawn Memorial Park, 5070 Cove Road N.
