Evans - age 82, passed away Thursday, April 19, 2007 at his residence in Silverhill, AL. Claude was born July 4, 1924 in Mascot, TN. Claude was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He spent his career in radio and television broadcasting and was employed for over twenty years with WALA-TV in Mobile, AL. Claude was active in the Rotary Club, Screen Actors Guild, and numerous civic organizations. He was preceded in death by his father, Claude Evans, his mother, Kirsten Methea Evans, and three Sisters: Vera Joyner, Barbara Williams, and Lasca Horsley. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Charlotte Evans. Four Sons: Kris Evans of Houston, TX, Kirk Evans of Pensacola, FL, Kim Evans of Houston, TX, and Kevin (Donna) Evans of Silverhill, AL, Two Daughters: Kathy (Eddie) Gifford of McComb, MS and Kelly Evans of Mobile, AL. Four Grandchildren: Carol Dickerson, Alana Gabler, Justin Godwin, Kirsten Evans, and Four Great-Grandchildren. Funeral Services for Mr. Evans will be at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, April 23, 2007 from the Chapel of Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Homes, Fairhope. Interment will follow in Memory Gardens of Fairhope. on April 21, 2007.4
