She was an active member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She enjoyed reading, needlework and collecting antiques. She was a lifelong fan of the New Orleans Saints and finally saw them win a Super Bowl. She is survived by her husband, Herbert Stanley Hogge, her parents, James C. and Henrietta G. Manning, her brother, Gary Manning and wife Maria, her sister, Ruth Ann Hannah and husband Therrell, nieces and nephews, Raymond, Huston, Sara, James, Katherine and Emily, special friends, Rick and Lynette Swanson and was very fond of her extended family and NASA family. Special thanks to her husband's caregiver and friend, Faith. on January 8, 2012.4

Stanley was preceded in death by his parents Herbert "Piggy" and Thelma C. Hogge; step-father, George Miller; and his wife of 29 years Jane Hogge. He is survived by, a special aunt Margurite Hogge; cousins, Gloria, Rosemary, Dallas "Petey", Donald, Frances, and Susan; parents-in-law, James & Henrietta Manning; brother-in-law and wife, Gary & Maria Manning; sister-in-law and husband, Ruth Ann & Therrell Hannah; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Stanley retired from NASA Langley and was a member of the Virginia Beach Christian Church and was a past Master of the Lynnhaven 220 Masonic Lodge, as well as a District Deputy Grand Master of the 56th Masonic District. Stanley also was a member of the Khedive Shriners, as well as a past president of the Virginia Beach Shrine Club. The family would like to give a special thanks to the staff of 4 Main at Friendship Health & Rehab for the care that they gave to Herbert. on October 22, 2015.4

Barbara Ann Bennett Barbara Ann Bennett Lively, 86, of Roanoke, died peacefully at home Saturday, June 13th. She was born in Roanoke, Virginia to the late Evelyn Williams Bennett and Harold Brown Bennett on July 9, 1933. She was a graduate of Andrew Lewis High School. Barbara was preceded in death by her first husband, Kenneth Ray Wimmer and sister, Martha Lou “Peggy” Bennett Conner. Barbara is survived by her husband, Joe Alfred Lively of Roanoke; son, Richard Bennett Wimmer and his wife, Ashley Kilgore Wimmer of Winston-Salem, North Carolina; son, Kenneth Wayne Wimmer and his partner, Angela Marie Wright of Bent Mountain, Virginia; and grandchildren, Kristin Paige Wimmer Brown, Joshua Wayne Wimmer, Daniel Bennett Wimmer and his wife, Erin Hull Wimmer, Carolyn Collier Wimmer, and Lawson Rogers Wimmer; five great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews, including Robin C. Branham and her husband, Michael; Roy R. Conner and his wife, Jenna; Douglas H. Conner and his wife, Julie; Jeffrey L. Conner and his wife, Kathy; and her dear friend, Eva Smith. Barbara's working career included years with Belk and later with Wells Fargo Bank. She enjoyed many years in her work with communications companies in Roanoke, VA, including Universal Communications Systems, Bell-South Communication and AT&T.
