     Nita Sharon Fidler It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Nita Sharon Fidler, who departed this life on November 23, 2025, in her hometown of Roanoke, Virginia. Nita was born on February 9, 1955, to the late Mervin and Myrtle Fidler. Also preceding her in death is her brother, James “Jimmy” Fidler. Nita graduated from William Fleming High School and built a career as a supervisor with Servpro for many years until retirement. She was a passionate soul who cherished dogs, especially her yorkies, Cuddles and Christmas. Nita had a remarkable talent for creating clothing for Barbie dolls, showcasing her artistic flair and imagination. In her free time, she also enjoyed cross-stitching and engaging in numerous intricate puzzles. Nita’s memory is survived by her sisters, Audrey Kinsley, and Linda Rhodes; her nephews Brian Fidler (Heather), Benjamin (DeeDee) Duncan; her niece, Amanda Duncan Gulino (Nick); her grandnieces, Chelsea Duncan Ames (Patrick), Lena Duncan and her grandnephew, Levi Duncan. She is also survived by many more beloved nieces and nephews. Her family will forever treasure the memories they shared with her, holding her spirit close to their hearts. In this time of grief, let us also celebrate Nita's life, her passions, and the joy she brought to all who had the privilege of knowing her. May she rest in peace. This is not a goodbye it’s a see you on the other side.2 She was born on February 9, 1955 at Roanoke, Virginia.1,2,3 As of November 19, 1983,her married name was Richardson.1 She married Barry Lee Richardson, son of Ralph Thomas "Cotton" Richardson and Beulah Mae Conner, on November 19, 1983 at Roanoke, Virginia.1 Nita Sharon Fidler and Barry Lee Richardson were divorced on June 24, 1993 at Roanoke, Virginia.4 Nita Sharon Fidler died on November 23, 2025 at Roanoke, Virginia, at age 70.2
