     Janie Elizabeth "Kate" Hudnall was buried at Concord Church Cemetery, Englewood, Montgomery Co., Ohio.⁴ She HUDNALL, Janie Elizabeth "Kate", age 60, died September 11, 2014 in Brookville, OH. She was born April 6, 1954, to the late Lorraine and Donald Hudnall. Sister to Gene Hudnall (Yvonne) of Brookville; aunt to Dawn Hudnall; great aunt to Sydney of Brookville and beloved friend to Eric Gray of Cincinnati. Also survived by aunts, uncles and numerous cousins. Kate grew up in Englewood, Ohio and attended Northmont High School. She graduated from Sawyer College of Business in 1973 and from the Ohio Institute of Photography & Technology in 1975. Kate worked as a Photo Lab Technician doing photo processing and retouching at Precision Photo Labs and Cer-El Color Labs. Kate apprenticed to Master Herbalist Victoria Parotta in the early/mid 1980s. She continued her Herbal studies with David Hoffman, Rosemary Gladstar and Michael Tierra. Kate worked 35 years in Health Food Stores (Nutrafoods, No Common Scents, Healthy Alternative) educating people about herbal medicine, providing nutritional guidance, flower essence counseling and Reiki therapy. Kate shared her passion for and extensive knowledge of gemstones and minerals working in jewelry stores: Rita Caz Jewelry Studio & Gallery (12 years), Gems of Wisdom and several rock and mineral shops. Kate meditated daily for over 40 years. Yellow Springs, Ohio was one of her favorite towns. For many years she lived and worked in Yellow Springs or in the vicinity. She also lived in Santa Barbara, CA and Fairfield, IA. Kate delighted in helping others to enhance their lives thru the beauty of nature. She enjoyed rock hunting, nature walks, seeking herb plants in their natural settings, road trips, nature photography, studying herbal medicine, spending time with friends and family and her beloved pets. A Memorial Service will be held 1-4 PM Sunday, October 12, 2014 in the Vernet Building at the Glen Helen Ecology Institute, 405 Corry St., Yellow Springs, OH 45387.³ She was born on April 6, 1954 at Ohio.³ She died on September 11, 2014 at Brookville, Montgomery Co., Ohio, at age 60.³
