     Roy Ellis Covington was buried at Fain Cemetery, Calhoun, Gordon Co., Georgia.¹ He married Beverly Ann Reeves.¹ Roy Ellis Covington was born on March 5, 1947 at Gordon Co., Georgia.¹ He died on May 15, 2013 at Tifton, Tift Co., Georgia, at age 66.¹ He Mr. Roy E. Covington, 66, of Tifton, formerly of Whitfield and Gordon counties, died Wednesday, May 15, 2013, at his residence. Mr. Covington was born in Gordon County on March 5, 1947, son of the late Hautis Roy "Hoyt" Covington and Lottie Marion Wilson Covington. He had resided in Tifton for the past nine years, moving there from Dalton. Mr. Covington was a drafter and engineer, retiring from Shaw Industries. He was a member of Victory Baptist Church. Mr. Covington was an avid fan of dirt track racing and enjoyed traveling, antique automobiles and race cars. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Donald Dixon. Survivors include his wife, Beverly Ann Reeves Covington of Tifton; sons, Scott Covington of Rome and Jeremy Covington of Chattanooga; one daughter, Cammie Causey of Adairsville; one grandchild, Olivia Covington of Chattanooga; sisters, Bobbie Dixon of Dalton and Betty Hackel and her husband Tim of Mableton; niece, Kimberly Isenhower of Dalton; great-niece, Amber Stephens of Dalton; and a special aunt, Carrie Gallman of Calhoun. Services will be Monday at 2 p.m. from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home with the Rev. Junior Clayton officiating. Interment will be in Fain Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home of Calhoun from 6 to 9 p.m. on Sunday. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Hospice of Tift Area, P.O.      Ruth Spivey Winslow was buried at Montmorenci Methodist Church Cemetery, Candler, Buncombe Co., North Carolina.⁴ She was born on September 13, 1923 at Perquimans Co., North Carolina.^2,3,4 As of June 11, 1949,her married name was Cole.¹ She married William Austin "Bud" Cole, son of Jesse Austin Cole and Aldine Creasman, on June 11, 1949 at Perquimans Co., North Carolina.^1,4 Ruth Spivey Winslow died on August 29, 2007 at Ohio at age 83.^3,4

     Retta Marie Ownbey was buried at Forest Lawn East Cemetery, 3700 Forest Lawn Drive, Weddington, Union Co., North Carolina.³ She Marie Ownbey Cole, 88, loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, of Belmont, NC, passed away on Monday, August 22, 2016 at Aston Park Health Care Center, Asheville, NC. Marie was a native of Asheville, NC and lived in Charlotte and Belmont before moving to Aston Park Health Care Center in 2006. She is the daughter of the late Roy and Evelyn Ownbey. She was the wife of Audria Eugene Cole, who preceded her in death on September 17, 2003. She is survived by their children, Donna Cole Jordan and husband Larry Jordan, of Leicester; Denis A. Cole, and wife LeeAnn Cole of Woodfin; Roy H. Cole of Belmont; and Susan Cole Scarboro and husband Lamar Scarboro, of Charlotte; seven grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Erma Gardner, of Kansas City, KS and Bernice Turner of Inman, SC.¹ She was born on March 11, 1928 at Buncombe Co., North Carolina.² As of October 11, 1947,her married name was Cole.⁴ She married Audira Eugene "Gene" Cole, son of Harold Benjamin Cole and Lucy Margarite Todd, on October 11, 1947 at Buncombe Co., North Carolina.^1,4 Retta Marie Ownbey died on August 22, 2016 at Asheville, Buncombe Co., North Carolina, at age 88.¹
