Jameson died on August 23, 2014 at Fresno, Fresno Co., California, at age 78.2 He Ben is survived by JoAnna, his wife of 57 years; his daughter Suzanne; his son Richard;, daughter-in-law Deborah; and his granddaughter Amanda. Ben proudly served with the US Marine Corps from 1954 thru 1956; and continued to serve in the USMC reserves thru 1961. While stationed in San Francisco, Ben met JoAnna, a nursing student at French Hospital. They married in 1957 in Turlock, CA, and then moved to Denver, CO so could Ben attend the University of Denver. Upon completion of his degree in English Literature, the couple moved back to Fresno where Ben eventually began a fulfilling career in education. Ben retired from teaching in 1995. He taught English at Clovis, Bullard and Madera High schools. He also served as a Master Teacher for California State University, Fresno, preparing English Education majors for teaching. Ben loved sailing, reading, Nebraska Cornhusker football and of course, his family. His smile and lively wit will be sorely missed. A Funeral Mass will be held on September 5, 2014, at the St. Paul Newman Center, at 11:00 a.m. Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be Thursday at 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel. His ashes will be interred at the San Joaquin National Cemetery in Santa Nella, CA on Friday, September 12, 2014, at 9:30 a.m. Remembrances may be made to the Nancy Hinds Hospice; or the Catholic Charities. on September 4, 2014.4

Third St. died of cancer Wednesday at Hospice Kavanagh House. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Park Avenue Presbyterian Church. The body will be cremated and interment of the cremains will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. Mr. Conrey was born in Knoxville and had lived in Des Moines since 1957. He was a retired printer for The Des Moines Register and a member of the International Typographical Union, Capital Oddfellows Lodge and Park Avenue Presbyterian Church. Survivor include his wife, Margaret; three daughters, Colleen Milligan of West Des Moines, Carol Williams of Knoxville and Eileen Hodak of Mason City; two sons, Tom of Cedar Rapid and Tim of Oelwein; three sisters, Alberta Loynachan of Adel, Louise Holzworth of Knoxille and Mildred Woodward of Anguaga, Calif; a brother, Duane of Des Moines; 12 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Central Iowa or his church. Arrangements are being handled by Sunset Funeral Chapel. on September 19, 1997.8

     Lela Louise "Brownie" Conrey Lela Louise "Brownie" Holzworth was born on December 13, 1908 in Marion County, the daughter of Marion Albert "Bert" Conrey and Ella (Moore) Conrey. She was raised in Knoxville and attended school here, graduating with the class of 1926. After graduation, she was employed in the telephone office. Following her marriage to Lloyd Holzworth on June 8, 1932, Louise stayed home to raise her family. She enjoyed gardening, both flowers and vegetables, and sharing the crop with her friends. She had been a member of the First United Methodist Church since 1917. Louise died on Sunday, September 10, 2000 at her home in Knoxville, Iowa. Louise was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Donald; three brothers, Woody, Martin and Clint; and five sisters, Wilma and Maurita Conrey, Pauline Glaspey, Alberta Loynachan, and Mildred Woodward.
