     Grace Dorothy Baxter Grace Dorothy Allick, 79, "was called home to be with her Lord and Savior" on Sept. 28, 2011. Grace passed away after a battle with congestive heart failure at the Brendan House. Grace was born in Andes, Mont., on May 24, 1932. She was the daughter of the late Floyd and Dorothy Baxter. Grace was married in 1953 to Sammy Allick and later divorced. Grace was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Dorothy Baxter; sisters, Ruth, Blanche and Dolly; brothers, Willie and Dickie; and one son, Robert. Grace is survived by her brothers, Carl, Norman, Donald, Richard and Louis; and her sisters, Evelyn, Donna and Darlene. She is also survived by former husband, Sammy; five children, son, Roger and wife Pat, daughters, Doreen and Karen, Merlyn and wife Kathy, and son, Steven; nine grandchildren, Jayson, Angel, Jeff, Pete, Brandon, Jeremy, Larry Jr., Nicholas and Kristofer; four great-grandchildren, Makayla, Trysten, Jeremy Jr., and Kayenta.¹ She was buried at Glacier Memorial Gardens, Kalispell, Flathead Co., Montana.⁴ She and Sammy Allick were divorced.¹ Grace Dorothy Baxter was born on May 24, 1932 at Andes, Richland Co., Montana.^1,4,5 As of 1953,her married name was Allick.¹ She married Sammy Allick in 1953.¹ Grace Dorothy Baxter died on September 28, 2011 at Kalispell, Flathead Co., Montana, at age 79.^1,4,5,6

Shirley was born in Sidney on Feb. 14, 1937, the daughter of Lucy and Ray Thiel Sr. Shirley met Wtllie Baxter in Sidney and they were married Aug. 3, 1953. They then moved to western Montana, where Willie worked various construction jobs. Shirley enjoyed the various places of western Montana and Idaho. Her first son, Edward, was born in Shelby in 1955. Her second son, Dale, was born in Sandpoint, Idaho, in 1957. They moved to Glasgow in 1960, where in 1962 her daughter, Deelight, was born. They then moved to Billings, where they spent the rest of their lives. Shirley's love of family was evident throughout her life, from the raising of her three children to the constant contact with her brothers and sisters. She spent hours gazing over her flowers while planning family reunions and organizing as many family members as possible for the annual trek to Vegas. Shirley leaves behind sons, Edward (Nancy) Baxter of Billings, Dale (JoLee) Baxter of Layton, Utah; and daughter Dee Harper (Ron Blood) of Billings; grandchildren, Cherie (Jerry) Grow, Sandra Baxter; Bradley, Shanna and Christie Baxter; Brandon (Jamie) Schmidt, Steve Blood; greatgrandchildren, Kaylee, Blake and Logan Schmidt; and many foster grandchildren. Shirley is also survived by brothers, Arnold, Ray Jr., and Delmer; sisters, Darlene, Janice and Barbara. Her husband Willie; parents Ray and Lucy Thiel brothers, Chet, Stan, Gerald, Gordon; and sister Lois preceded her in death. Visitation will be noon to 8 p.m. Thursday, Aug.l2, and starting at 9 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 13. A wake service will be 6:30 p.m. Friday, at the Dahl Chapel. Funeral services will be 10:30 am. Saturday, Aug. 14, at the Dahl Funeral ChapeL Interment will be 10 am. Monday, Aug. 16, at Mountview Cemetery. on August 12, 2004.³

She was born June 30, 1962, in Glasgow, the daughter of Willie and Shirley Baxter. She grew up and received her schooling in Billings and, on Oct. 9, 1982, she was united in marriage to Ron Blood. They have lived in Billings since. Dee had numerous jobs over her lifetime, but her most rewarding was her title as mom. She loved to work around her house, in the yard and garden. In her kitchen, she has the following statement: "Live well, laugh often, love much." Dee was always there in the stands to cheer her children at games. She was proud of her children, grandchildren, foster children and enjoyed all of them, as well as her dogs. She was looking forward to more traveling. She is survived by her husband, Ron Blood of Billings, two sons, Stew Blood of Billings and Brandon (Jamie) Schmidt of Jacksonville, Fla; three grandchildren, Kailee, Blake and Logan; one stepdaughter, Stacey (Rick) Sievert of Carlton, Minn; three stepgrandchildren, Alec, Luke and Aidan; a foster daughter, Angic Barchenger of Billings; and two brothers, Edward (Nancy) Baxter of Billings and Dale (JoLee) Baxter of Kaysville, Utah. She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Willie and Shirley Baxter. Dee will be remembered by so many; she touched and enriched so many lives in her brief lifetime. Though she is gone from us now, we all look forward to seeing her again someday. "Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer. Share with God's people who are in need." Visitation for Dee will be held noon to 5 p.m. at Dahl Funeral Chapel on Sunday, March 8, with the funeral service at 11 a.m. Monday, March 9, at the Lockwood Campus of Harvest Church.
