     Virginia Kruse was buried at Lane Memorial Gardens, Eugene, Lane Co., Oregon.¹ Her married name was McKern.¹ She married Kenneth Delbert McKern, son of Lewis Alonzo McKern and Lydia Marie Gregory.¹ Virginia Kruse was born on October 1, 1918 at Yoncalla, Douglas Co., Oregon.^1,2 She died on September 10, 2008 at Eugene, Lane Co., Oregon, at age 89.^1,2 She Virginia Nelson of Eugene died Sept. 10, 2008, at age 89. She was born Oct. 1, 1918, in Yoncalla, to Elmer and Rachel Miller Kruse. She married Albert Nelson Sr. on June 1, 1944, in San Diego. She was a homemaker. Survivors include four sons, Charles McKern of Seattle, Ronald McKern of Crecent Lake, Albert "Al" Nelson Jr. of Elmira and Robert Nelson; two daughters, Carol Myers of Veneta and BonnieNelson of North Carolina; 10 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Her husband died in 1984, and a son, Kenneth, and a daugher, Laura, also preceded her in death. A graveside service was held Sept. 12 at Lane Memorial Gardens in Eugene. Memorials may go to the Applegate Pioneer Museum in Veneta. on September 18, 2008.¹
