Susan Lynn Wimmer Susan Lynn Wimmer passed away December 28, 2018, at Chippenham Hospital after a short illness. She was preceded in death by her father, Lewis Wimmer, and her brother, David Wimmer. Sue is survived by her mother, Pauline Wimmer; her husband of 18 years, Joe Abbott; her sons, Justin Crenshaw (Jenny Neubert) and Mitchel Crenshaw. Also her sister, Pam Digges (Tom); her brother, Bill Wimmer (Brenda); nieces, Carrie Digges-Tolgyesi and Katie Wimmer; and nephew, Jason Digges. Ed Crenshaw, the father of her sons, also survives. Sue was a devoted mother and was excited about becoming a grandmother in the spring; her granddaughter will surely have an Angel on her shoulder. Susan managed several GNC stores in the area until her retirement in 2017. She was loving, friendly, funny, a good cook, a reader and a painter. Sue saw the beauty in all of Nature and loved all animals, particularly the neighborhood cats. She leaves a hole in our hearts that will never be filled.2 She was born on October 8, 1953 at Norfolk, Virginia.3,4 As of July 1, 1978,her married name was Crenshaw.3 She married Edward Henry "Ed" Crenshaw Jr. on July 1, 1978 at Richmond, Virginia.2,3 Susan Lynn Wimmer and Edward Henry "Ed" Crenshaw Jr. were divorced on October 18, 1999 at Chesterfield Co., Virginia.5 Susan Lynn Wimmer married Joseph Edward "Joe" Abbott on April 17, 2000 at Colonial Heights, Virginia.2,6,3 Susan Lynn Wimmer died on December 28, 2018 at Richmond, Virginia, at age 65.2

Perhaps this is the same cemetery.3,4 He was born on August 8, 1895 at Salt Well, Harrison Co., West Virginia; On his death certificate his birthplace is listed as Ballard, West Virginia.7,2,5 He died on February 11, 1934 at Bluefield, Mercer Co., West Virginia, at age 38.2,3 He Claude Conner, 36, of Rocky Gap, died at 4:30 Sunday afternoon at St. Luke's hospital, succumbing to injuries sustained six weeks ago in an automobile accident at South Gap, Bland county. Virginia. Funeral services will be held at 11 o'clock Wednesday morning at Pleasant Flat church, Ballard, Va., following by burial in the Pleasant Flat cemetery. The accident also resulted in the injury of George Sword, of Rocky Cap, who recovered without the necessity of hospital attention. Mr. Conner suffered fractured vertebrae with injuries to the spinal cord, fractures of five ribs, a fracture of the collar bone and internal injuries. Mr. Conner had been a resident of Rocky Cap for the last five years, having gone there from Ballard, Monroe county, his native home. Surviving are his parents. Mr. and Mrs. S. J. Conner, of Ballard, and the following brothers and sisters: Mrs. R. A. Hopkins, Bluefleld; Mrs. W. B. Ballard, Princeton; Mrs. Arch Spangler, Mullens; Frank Conner, Rocky Gap; John D. Conner, of Ballard; Ellett Conner, Bozoo, and Merrill Conner, of Mar France, W. Va. on February 13, 1934.3

Survivors include his wife, Delilah Shumate Conner; three daughters, Mrs. Emmett Skaggs of Bozoo, Mrs. Hunter Bradley of Cashmere and Mrs. Dean Keatley of Wilmington, Del; two brothers, John D. and Merrel Conner, both of Pearisburg, Va; three sisters, Mrs. Beulah Spangler of Ballard, Mrs, Euna Hopkins of Baltimore, Md., and Mrs. Myrtle Ballard of Princeton; seven grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by three brothers. The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Bozoo Christian Church with the Rev. Maurice Hylton and the Rev. Howard Spencer in charge. Burial will be in the Orchard Cemetery. The body will remain at the Broyles Funeral Chapel in Peterstown and will be taken to the church one hour prior to the funeral. Pallbearers will be Hobart Canterbury, Norman Robinson, Tony Bradley, Earl Martin, John Woodson and Joe Dunn. Women of the church will carry flowers. on December 1, 1964.6

Born in Raleigh County, she was a daughter of the late John T. and Nora Meadows Shumate. She had resided in the Bozoo area most of her life. She was a member of the Bozoo Christian Church and was preceded in death by her husband, Ellet Conner in 1964. Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Emmett (Louise) Scaggs of Bozoo, Mrs. Dean (Ruth) Keatley of Wilmington, Del., and Mrs. Hunter (Wilma) Bradley of Cashmere; five brothers, Carl C. and George H. Shumate of Princeton, Edsel N. Shumate of Radford, Va., Charlie A. Shumate of Coal City, Lewis H. Shumate of Forest Hill; three sisters, Mrs. Lillian Ferguson of Bozoo, Mrs. Pete Gillard of Holy Hill, S.C., and Mrs. Franklin Masters of Charleston, S.C; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday at 2 p.m. at Broyles Funeral Home in Peterstown with Harold Moms officiating. Burial will follow in Orchard Cemetery. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. on May 10, 1974.5
