In addition to the parents, survivors include a brother, Richard, and two sisters, Brenda Sue and Tamara Jo, all at home; and the grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Beabout and Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Shirk, all of Muncie. Private funeral services will be held Monday at Parson Mortuary with Rev. Robert Kellems officiating. Burial will be in Elm Ridge Cemetery. Dennis Wayne Beabout Jr. Funeral services for the infant son of Mr. and Mrs. Dennis W. Beabout, 1508 Royal Dr., were held Monday afternoon at Parson Mortuary with the REv. L.M. Hile officiating. Burial was in Elm Ridge Cemetery. The baby was stillborn Monday morning at Ball Hospital. Surviving besides the parents are two brothers, and the grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Jess Beabout of Paris, Ill., and Mr. and Mrs. Howard Dowen of Carbon, Ind. She was a farm wife and Avon representative and worked at Burnsides Nursing Home. She enjoyed cooking, gardening and being with her family. She enjoyed her seven grandsons and finally got granddaughters among her great-grandkids. She was a member of First Christian Church and enjoyed volunteering through the Burnsides Guild. Born Nov. 30, 1920, in Marshall, Ill., she was the daughter of Hobert and Effie Beabout Irwin. On Dec. 27, 1941, in Morganfield, Ky., she married Dudley Beltz, who preceded her in death May. Survivors include three daughters, Connie (Larry) Wells and Linda (Mike) Hendrix, both of Marshall, and Lisa (Steve) Gentry, Seymour; seven grandchildren, Jason (Melissa) Hendrix, Jeremy Hendrix, Justin (Melanie) Hendrix and Wes Wells, all of Marshall, Riley Wells, Rancho Cucamonga, Calif., and Lance Gentry and Kyle Gentry, both of Seymour; nine great-grandchildren, Dylan, Ashlyn, Alaina, Logan, Ella, Ethan, Kason, Easton and Kennedy; and a sister, Betty Fraker, Marshall. She was preceded in death by a brother, Chester Irwin. Pastor Justin Snider and Pastor Miriam Snider will conduct funeral services at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Pearce Funeral Home, Marshall, Ill. Burial will take place at Marshall Cemetery. on October 12, 2010.2

He was born on Sept. 19, 1924, in Marshall, the son of Hobart Irwin and Effie Beabout Irwin. He married Louise Curran on July 6, 1948, in Marshall, and she preceded him in death, on Feb. 13, 2005. Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Janice and Tim Cork of Peach Tree City, Ga; two sons and daughters-in-law, James and Janice Irwin of Normal, Ill., and John and Debra Irwin of Dayton, Ohio; two sisters, Doris (Dudley) Beltz and Betty Fraker, both of Marshall; grandchildren, Michael (Brenna) Cork, Erin Cork, Chris (Stacy) Irwin, Ryan (Jennifer) Irwin, Phillip Irwin and Patrick (Anna Henderson-fiancee) Irwin; great-grandchild, McKensi Irwin and one great-grandchild on the way, Timmy Irwin. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II from March 25, 1943 to March 26, 1945. He attained the rank of sergeant. He was a member of Clark County Post 90 of the American Legion and was a longtime devoted fan of the Chicago Cubs. Services in honor of his life are 11 a.m. CST Saturday in Pearce Funeral Home, 314 S. Sixth St., in Marshall, with the Rev. Mike Haag of St. Mary's Catholic Church officiating. Burial is in St. Mary's Cemetery in Marshall, with military graveside rites conducted by Clark County Post 90 of the American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5975 and the AMVETS. on January 22, 2009.3
