     Gaynell Beverlin Gaynell Walker of Seng Creek, WV went home to be with the Lord on Saturday evening, April 23, 2022 at her home after a long illness. She was born August 18, 1946 at Charleston, WV a daughter of the late Jack and Cathryn Paxton Beverlin. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Walker; a sister, Shirley Lowe and a brother, Jackie Beverlin. Gaynell was a lifelong Christian and attended Church at Pettry Bottom, Sundial, WV. Those left to cherish her memory include, daughter, Crystal Morgan; grandson, Austin Walker; daughter, Cathy Ford; grandchildren, Ashley, Heather, and Haleigh Estep; sisters, Betty Botkin and Carol Massey; a brother, Rick Beverlin; great grandchildren, Dakota Thaxton, Jadan Fransico, Pacey Estep, Dean and Dawson Dillsworth. Burial will be in the Pineview Cemetery, Orgas, WV.2 She was buried at Pineview Cemetery, Orgas, Boone Co., West Virginia.2,5 She was born on August 18, 1946 at Charleston, Kanawha Co., West Virginia.1,2,5 As of August 16, 1965,her married name was Walker.1 She married Larry Jan Walker on August 16, 1965 at Garrison, Boone Co., West Virginia.1,2 Gaynell Beverlin died on April 23, 2022 at Boone Co., West Virginia, at age 75.2

He was a disabled lieutenant with the Boone County Sheriff's Department. He was a member of Masonic Lodge 162 and attended Pettry Bottom Church. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Gaynell Walker, who resided with him in Whitesville; daughters and sons-in-law, Cathy and Ted Ford of Clarksburg and Crystal and David Morgan of Whitesville; brother and sister-in-law, Jerry and Pauline Walker of Kanawha City; sister and brother-in-law, Betty and Malcom Halstead of Foster; three granddaughters, Ashley, Heather and Haleigh Estep of Clarksburg; one grandson, Austin Walker of Whitesville; two stepgrandchildren, Clark and Lynze Ford of Clarksburg; two great-grandsons, Dakota Thaxton and Jayden Francisco, both of Clarksburg; and many other family members. Burial will be in Pineview Cemetery, Orgas. We would like to thank all family, friends and hospital staff for all the love, kindness and prayers we received during our time of loss. on January 9, 2009.3

Visitation will be from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. today at Backs Funeral Chapel and the funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Bacas Funeral Chapel. Rev. Kenneth Stohner of Bethel Baptist Church will officiate and the concluding service and burial will follow at Mountain View Cemetery. Thompson was born Nov. 18, 1906, in Capton, Ky., to P.L. and Elsie Thompson. On June 24, 1933, he married Cleola Faye Billman in Casey, Ill., and was employed by the U.S. Postal Service in Chicago, Ill. for 38 years and nine months, having retired in 1965. He was an alumni of Moody Bible Institute, made his home at the Kingdom of the Sun Retirement Center in Deming since 1971, and was an active member of Bethel Baptist Church. Surviving him is his wife Cleola Thompson of the home. Preceding him in death were both of his parents in 1951, and a brother, Kenneth Thompson, in 1965. Serving as pallbearers will be Jim Staten, Bill Baker, Jack Ferguson, John Unis, Brian Lassiter and Arlo Dietzman. Honorary pallbearers are Glenns friends from the Kingdom of the Sun Retirement Center and Dan Sharp. on November 16, 1998.2
