Born June 19, 1919, at LeContes Mills, Clearfield County, he was a son of Thomas and Viola Smith. Mr. Smith was a coal miner for 42 years. He loved hunting, fishing, bowling, riding horses, snowmoiling and spending time with family and friends. He is survived by his wife of 71 years, Virginia Smith; a daughter, Helen L. Ferguson and her husband, James; five sons, Eugene H. Smith and his wife, Charlotte, of LeContes Mills, Robert G. Smith and his wife, Laura, of Indiana, William J. Smith and his wife, Donna, of Chambersville, Donald L. Smith and his wife Vicki, of Homer City; 20 grandchildren; 26 great-grand-children; three great-great-grand-children; three sisters, Cleo Stiver of Hanover, June Winning of Nanty Glo and Jane McGeary of Seattle, Wash; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Smith was preceded in death by his parents; five brothers, Clifford, Richard, Clair, Robert and Thomas Smith; and one sister, Frances Rougeux. Family and friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday, July 7, at Robinson-Lytle Inc., Indiana. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 P.m. Thursday, July 8, at the funeral home. Interment will be at Oakland Cemetery Mausoleum. Mrs. Plubell was a bus driver for the Clearfield Area School District and was also employed by the former Timberline Furniture. In addition, she was a Notary Public for over 25 years. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Frenchville, the Frenchville Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary and the Mosquito Creek Sportmans Club. In addition, she served on the election board for Girard Township. She is survived by six children, Gary L. Plubell and wife Gwen of Bigler, Gregory J. Plubell of Lebanon, Gail M. Stiner and husband Raymond of LeContes Mills, Suzette D. Plubell and companion Tim Prisk of Curwensville, Rhonda K. McGovern and husband Douglas of Frenchville, and Mark A. Plubell and wife Andria of Clearfield; fourteen grandchildren; twenty two great grandchildren; a sister, Mona Butler and of Boalsburg; and a brother, Leslie Smith of Clearfield. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, LeRoy B. Plubell on May 14, 2007 and whom she wed June 30, 1951 in Frenchville. She was also preceded in death by four brothers, Donald, Ronald, Homer and Jacob Smith; and a sister, Ursula Johnson. Mass of Christian burial will be said at the St. Mary Catholic Church, Frenchville, on Friday at 11 AM with Father Philip Billotte as celebrant and Raymond Stiner. Cleo is survived by two sisters, Jane McGary of Seattle, WA, and June Winning of Nanty Glo, PA; she has three children, Connie Lee Holby of Hanover PA, Gene Leland Stiner and his wife, Gretchen of Spring Grove and Beth Renee Leedy and her husband, Joseph of Hanover PA; nine grandchildren: Angelea (Holby) Groff and her husband, George of Somerset, PA, Michael Holby and his fiancé, Sonya Oliver of Penn Run, PA, Timothy Holby and his wife, Deanna of Pittsburgh, PA, Lindsey Holby of Hanover, Jonathan Stiner and his wife, Jenna of Spring Grove, PA, David Stiner and his wife, Lauren of Spring Grove, PA, Alicia Leedy of Hanover, PA, Jenna Ako and her husband, Isidore of Hanover PA and Senior Airman James Leedy and his wife, Melissa of Nulles Air Force Base, Las Vegas, NV. Cleo was also blessed with 14 great-grandchildren; Nicholas, Tyler, Lexi, Hailey, Danielle, Hannah, Ashlynn, Kennedy, Kofi, Alexis, Caleb, Jackson, Harper, and Sika. A time to share memories with the family and an opportunity to view will be on Sunday, May 13, 2018 from 1-3 p.m. and also 6-9 p.m. at the Wetzel Funeral Home and Crematory, 549 Carlisle St., Hanover, PA. A brief viewing will held on Tuesday, May 15, 2018 from 12-1 p.m. with services to follow starting at 1 p.m. with Pastor Randy Huber officiating at the funeral home.      Manser Henry Bryson was buried at Bryson Family Cemetery, Maple Meadow, Raleigh Co., West Virginia.5 He was born on October 23, 1854 at Raleigh Co., West Virginia.6,1,5 He married Mary Frances DeWeese, daughter of Patterson DeWeese and Sarah C. Gray, on April 2, 1878 at Raleigh Co., West Virginia.6,7,4,5 Manser Henry Bryson died on October 22, 1926 at Trap Hill, Raleigh Co., West Virginia, at age 71.1,5,8 He Manser Bryson died, yesterday morning. Had the aged lifetime Raleigh county resident lived until today, he would have been 72 years old. His death took place at his home at Bryson, where he had been ill for several years. He was the oldest of the twelve children of Alexander Riffe, pioneer resident of the county, He is survived by the eleven other children, his brothers and sisters. He is survived, also, by five children. His wife preceded him to the grave several years ago. Brothers and sister who survive him are; Sarah Dunn, of Bluefield, James Bryson, Henry Bryson, Coonrod Bryson. Miss Corola Bryson of Bryson, near Lester, Mrs. Ruhama Smith, of Mansfield, Missouri, Simeon Bryson, of Salem, Virginia, Edmond Bryson, of Crab Orchard, Mrs. R. L. Richardson of Coolridge, Mrs. Joseph Shumate of Salt Sulphur Springs, Mrs. Bailey Caniday, of Lester. Children who survive him are Oliver Bryson, of Glen Morgan, Albert F. Bryson, of Eccles, Mrs. Crockett Shumate, of Lester, J. C. Bryson, of Bryson, and Henry Bryson, of Bryson. He is survived by C. O. Dunn, a nephew, of this city, Winton Kine and W. T. Riffe, cousins, also of Beckley. He has many relatives among the Riffe, Dunn and Lemon families of this city. on October 23, 1926.8
