     Biddie Bell Whittaker Biddie Bell Whittaker Thomas, 78, of Princeton, WV, passed away peacefully, after a courageous battle with Giant Cell Arteritis, a rare inflammatory vasculitis, which attacked the arteries of her heart and brain, on Saturday November 26, 2016 at Roanoke Memorial Medical Center with family by her side. Born May 22, 1938 in Princeton, she was the daughter of the late Virgie and Jodie Whittaker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Wayne Thompson Bauguess; one brother Joe Whittaker; five sisters Jean Webb, Barbara Whittaker, Sis Smith, Bonnie Varney and Hazel Jones. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother and best friend. Biddie was a small business entrepreneur starting and operating many successful businesses over her lifetime, including Thomas Ceramics, Thomas Roofing, Thomas Sanitation and Thomas Paving. She is survived by her devoted husband of 56 years Ralph Thomas and will be lovingly remembered by her three sons: Charlie Bauguess and wife Sherry, Mark Thomas and companion John Collins, Scott Thomas and wife Christy; one daughter Tammy Thomas; five grandchildren Heather Ramirez and husband Fred, Chasen Thomas and wife Jackie and Christopher Thomas, Brittany and Brandon Moore; three great grandchildren, Dhestyn, Saeghyn and Glaecyn Ramirez; Rhonda Thomas mother of Heather and Chasen; three brothers, Bud, Jack and Frank Whittaker; two sisters, Debbie Fowler and Sandra Brinkley. In accordance with Biddie’s wishes, her body has been cremated and her remains will be scattered to the wind at some of her favorite locations in the world.¹ Her married name was Bauguess.¹ She married Wayne Thompson Bauguess, son of Charles Martin Oscar Bauguess and Josephine Irene "Josie" Thompson.^1,2 Biddie Bell Whittaker was born on May 22, 1938 at Princeton, Mercer Co., West Virginia.¹ She died on November 26, 2016 at Roanoke, Virginia, at age 78.¹

     Cecil Earl Holdren was buried at Elgood Cemetery, behind the Elgood school and the church, Elgood, Mercer Co., West Virginia.^2,3 He married Josephine Irene "Josie" Thompson, daughter of Joseph Wallace Thompson and Nancy Estaline "Nannie" Dunn.¹ Cecil Earl Holdren was born on November 7, 1909 at Elgood, Mercer Co., West Virginia; His draft card has a birth date of Nov 9, 1909.^2,3,4 He died on January 17, 1956 at Princeton, Mercer Co., West Virginia, at age 46.^2,3,5 He Cecil Earl Holdren, 47, died last evening at Memorial Hospital in Princeton after a short illness. He had suffered coronary thrombosis four days before his death. He was the former owner of Holdren Grocery Store in Lilly Grove but had presently been employed by the Pepsi Cola Bottling Co. Mr. Holdren was the son of the late Earl Holdren of Elgood. His mother, Mrs. Mamie Baugess still survives in Princeton. Other survivors include his wife, Josie Holdren of 202 Wallace St., Princeton; and one daughter and one son; Mary Evelyn and Joe Earl, both at home. Two sisters, Mrs. Darrell Whitaker of Iaeger and Mrs. Bruce Bradley of Charleston; and one brother, Jack Holdren of Iaeger also survive. on June 18, 1956.⁵

He was born in Anderson, S.C., and moved to Land O'Lakes from Tampa 16 years ago. He was a sheet metal worker in the heating and air-conditioning business and a member of Sheet Metal Workers union Local 15. He was a protestant.
