Washington, Ky., and Helen Nicolaisen and husband, Al, of Ukiah, Calif; and treasured friend, Peggy Worley and husband, Frank. She was a member of Grace Baptist Church for over 35 years and instrumental in establishing the church library. Prior to becoming ill, she was an avid reader and quilter. Dean and Bea cherished camping trips with dear family friends: the annual church trip to Philpott Lake in the 70s when they often arrived early, along with gospel singing events at Watermelon Park and The Smokies during the 80s and 90s. Funeral Services will be held at Grace Baptist Church on 1527 Gilford Avenue at 1 p.m. on Monday, May 16, 2011. Interment will follow in Sherwood Memorial Park with Pastor Dale Mullinix officiating. on May 15, 2011.³

He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 65 years, Norma Hatcher, his son, Jerry Tilden Hatcher, and his parents, Harlow and Emily Hatcher.
