     Abigail Iddings was buried at Hall Cemetery, Rt. 680, 1.4 miles from Rt. 860, 0.5 miles into a corn field, Copper Hill, Floyd Co., Virginia.5 She was born on March 21, 1811 at Montgomery Co., Virginia.2,3,4,5 She Their fathers gave them permission to marry. The handwritten note stated, “this is to certify that you are hereby directed to grant David Hall liens to marry my daughter Abigail, given under my hand this the 16th of July 1831 signed Henry Iddings.” David’s stated, "To the clerk of the court, you are hereby directed to grant David Hall liens under my hand to be married to Abigail Iddings. Signed by John Hall, Witness by Charles Hall”. This Charles Hall is believed to be David’s uncle who married Elizabeth Iddings. A marriage bond was obtained on the 21 day of July 1831, by which David Hall and Charles Hall agreed to be bound to the sum of one hundred and fifty dollars to the Commonwealth of Virginia to obtain a marriage license. The ceremony was performed in Floyd Co. by Michael Howry, Minister of the Gospel. on July 16, 1831.3 She married David A. Hall, son of John L. Hall and Sarah "Sally" Pate, on July 28, 1831 at Floyd Co., Virginia.1,3,4 As of July 28, 1831,her married name was Hall. Abigail Iddings died on April 1, 1904 at Simpsons, Floyd Co., Virginia, at age 93.2,3,4,5

She was born in Vincent, Ala. on Friday, September 1, 1944 to the late Grover and Mildred Forbes. Along with her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Doug Conner; and brothers, Arthur Forbes and Bobby Ferguson. Left to cherish her memory are sons, Mike Conner, Randy and Sharon Conner, and Steve and Michelle Conner; grandchildren, Cameron Conner and Lynze Conner; sisters, Gracie and Don Wilson, Peggy Poff, Evon and Mike Faulk; Beverly and Larry Rupe; brother, Darryl and Thelda Forbes; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. A committal will be held at Salem Cemetery in Copper Hill, Va. following the service. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the first responders and staff in the ER Department at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital for all their efforts. on June 28, 2018.3

     Lois Marie Hughes was buried at Sherwood Burial Park, 1045 Lynchburg Turnpike, Salem, Roanoke Co., Virginia.3 She was born on February 16, 1941 at Dillsburg, York Co., Pennsylvania.3 As of March, 1970,her married name was Conner.4 She married Joseph Andrew "Joe" Conner, son of Isaac Raymond Conner and Eleanor Ruth Clower, in March, 1970 at Cumberland Co., Pennsylvania.2,3,4 Lois Marie Hughes died on September 19, 2021 at Roanoke, Virginia, at age 80.3 She Lois Marie Conner, 80, of Salem, passed away peacefully from the Virginia Veterans Care Center on Sunday, September 19, 2021. Born in Dillsburg, Pennsylvania on Sunday, February 16, 1941, to the late Charles and Rosie Hughes, she was also preceded in death by a sister and brother-in-law, Carol and Bob Santeusanio. Lois worked for First Union Bank before her retirement and was a faithful member of Life Church. Those left to cherish her memory are her loving husband, Joseph Conner; daughter, Liana Blankenship; granddaughter, Kayli Blankenship; sisters, Jennette Morrison and Gloria Hoffmeier; as well as a brother, Jeff Hughes and wife, Susan. Interment immediately following at Sherwood Memorial Park in Salem. The family would like to express their sincerest gratitude to the staff of the Virginia Veterans Care Center for their compassionate care and for allowing her to be with her husband during these last few weeks of her life. on September 21, 2021.3
