Funeral services will be conducted from Oakey's Vinton Chapel at 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 4, 1984, with the Rev. B. H. Cato officiating. Burial will be in Mountain View Cemetery. Mr. Lawler had been in ill health for the past five years. Burial will be made in Crown Hill Cemetery. He was born in Clifton Forge, June 8, 1880, the son of the late James and Elizabeth Franklin Lawler. He was a member of the Brotherhood of Railroad Firemen and Engineers and St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Clifton Forge. He leaves three daughters, Mrs. Roy Johnson of Selma, with whom he made his home, Mrs. W. H. Hall, Clifton Forge and Peggy Lawler at home, one son, E. L. Lawler of Portsmouth and five grandchildren. Also two brothers, Paul G. and Mike F. Lawler of Clifton Forge, and two sisters, Mrs. Annie Henderson of Detroit and Mrs. Marion Thomas of Richmond. Active pallbearers will be Albert Light, Roy B. Anderson, L. C. Gibson, William Wilkerson, Graham McGown, and G. Y. Gilliland. Honorary will be members of the Brotherhood of Railroad Firemen and Engineers and friends of the family. on September 8, 1952.9

     Paul Daniel Sexton Sr. Paul D. Sexton, February 5, 1935 – October 10, 2013, of Rives Junction passed away at his home under the care of his family on Thursday, October 10, 2013, at the age of 78. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Joyce (Duty) Sexton, their seven children, Rick, Paul (Donna), James (Lisa) Connie (Art) Ashworth, Linda Schupbach, Ron and Larry (Audrey); twenty-two grandchildren; twenty-one great grandchildren; seven siblings, Anna Mae, Russell, Marvin, Doris, Sandra, Roger and Easter as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Paul was the eldest son born to Willis and Hester Sexton in West Virginia. He left the coal mines as a young man and relocated to Jackson. He spent most of his working career operating heavy equipment, working alongside his brothers. He enjoyed an active life and was an avid outdoorsman. Mr. Sexton had a strong Faith in the Lord and a service honoring his life will be held at Trinity Wesleyan Church (620 Robinson Road 49203), on Monday, October 14, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Vaughn Jensen officiating. The family will receive friends for visitation at the funeral home on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Interment will take place at Hillcrest Memorial Park.3 He was buried at Hillcrest Memorial Park, 1425 North Elm Road, Jackson, Jackson Co., Michigan.3 He was born on February 5, 1935 at West Virginia.1,3,4 He married Joyce Ann Duty, daughter of Lee Arthur Duty and Louella Mary Cole, circa 1955.1,3 Paul Daniel Sexton Sr. died on October 10, 2013 at Rives Junction, Jackson Co., Michigan, at age 78.3
