Darrell married Reba in Las Vegas, Nevada on February 26, 1963 and were married for 52 years. Darrell worked over 44 years as a grocery clerk for Purity and Best Buy. He belonged to the Fellowship of Hope Church and his hobbies included electronics, and re-finishing furniture. Darrell is survived by his wife Reba Welzbacker, a son Jimmy Welzbacker of Bakersfield, CA. and three daughters, Cheri Spruell (Smitty) of Las Vegas, NV., Lanette Duplissey (Arlen) of Silsbee, TX., and Tammy Plumlee of Tehachapi, CA. In addition, he is survived by his brother George Welzbacker (Wandza) of Visalia, CA. and two sisters, Syble Browning of Visalia, CA., Jackie Watson of San Marcos, CA., and sister-in-law Marian Welzbacher, several grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Darrell is preceded in death by his parents Mr. and Mrs. Willie and Alice Welzbacker, two sisters Ella Mae Garner and Ann Mc Cuistion and a brother Jim Welzbacker. The family would like to thank Optimal Hospice for the wonderful care given to Darrell and a special "Thank You" to staff members Susan, Jennifer and Delphina. Visitation will begin at 4 PM till 7 PM on Tuesday, May 26, 2015 at Salser and Dillard Funeral Chapel. A funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Wednesday, May 27, 2015 at Salser and Dillard Funeral Chapel. Burial will be at Visalia District Cemetery. on May 22, 2015.³
