Eva Jo was a loving wife and mother. She taught music and piano lessons at Gateway Christian Academy and was a ministry leader of the Senior Saints and member of Gateway Church. She loved spending time with her family, friends, baking cakes with love and listening to Southern Gospel Music. She spent her life helping and serving others and letting her life show her love for Jesus. Ernie was a painter by trade and he was a partner of the Dove Paint and Wallpaper Company. He was a member of Gateway Church where he served as Bus Captain, Usher, Greeter and Senior Ministry Leader. Ernie loved spending time with family, hunting, fishing, Nascar and the NY Yankees. One of his greatest traits was that he never met a stranger.      Thelma Louise Smith Thelma S. Epperly, 97 of Troutville, passed away on Wednesday, January 14, 2015. She was the widow of S. Earl Epperly. Her three brothers; Charlie E. Smith, Jr., William D. Smith, and Walter B. Smith, and three of her sisters; Belva L. Hall, Mildred E. Quick, and Evelyn Graham also preceded her in death. Mrs. Epperly was a talented seamstress and until very recently was still doing alterations. She is survived by her daughter, Charlotte Williams and her husband, Jim of Troutville, grandson, Jay Williams, granddaughter, Jennifer Lorman and her husband, Jeffrey, great-grandchildren; Janelle Lorman and Sarah Jessica Lorman, a sister, Darlene M. Graham, and numerous nieces and nephews.
