The family wishes to express special thanks to everyone for their acts of kindness shown to us during his time of illness. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 11, 2000 at the Christiansburg Church of the Brethren, conducted by the Rev. Eugene Flinchum, the Rev. Dennis Hutchison and the Rev. Mike Reynolds, with burial to follow in Sunset Cemetery. The body will be placed in the Christiansburg Church of the Brethren Monday morning, where friends may call anytime after 12 noon. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday evening at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made in his memory to Christiansburg Rescue Squad, Box 176, Christiansburg, Va. 24068. Arrangements are being handled by Horne Funeral Service in Christiansburg. on July 10, 2000.5

Left to cherish her memory are her Daughter, Shanna Simmons (David); Son, Wesley Dove (Nancy); Grandchildren, Kara Simmons Jeffcoat (Josh), Lauren Dove Koke (Jeremy), Cory Simmons (Brandy), Weston Dove, and Frannie Simkins; Great-Granddaughters Karleigh Jeffcoat and Baby Koke coming soon, Great Grandson Logan Jeffcoat, Brothers George Epperly and Neil Epperly (Jackie), Sisters-in-law Janice Hodge and Dianne Dove, Brother-in-law Calvin Dove as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other family members and numerous friends. Burial will be following the service at Colonial Grove Memorial Park on Princess Anne Rd., Va. Smith, and Walter B. Smith, and three of her sisters; Belva L. Hall, Mildred E. Quick, and Evelyn Graham also preceded her in death. Mrs. Epperly was a talented seamstress and until very recently was still doing alterations. She is survived by her daughter, Charlotte Williams and her husband, Jim of Troutville, grandson, Jay Williams, granddaughter, Jennifer Lorman and her husband, Jeffrey, great-grandchildren; Janelle Lorman and Sarah Jessica Lorman, a sister, Darlene M. Graham, and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held at the graveside at Sunset Cemetery in Christiansburg.3 She was buried at Sunset Cemetery, 501 South Franklin Street, Christiansburg, Montgomery Co., Virginia.3,4 She was born on May 16, 1917 at Botetourt Co., Virginia.1,5 She married Sidney Earl Epperly, son of John P.      Vivian Hensley Wickham Vivian H. Wickham, 88, of Henderson, died Thursday, Dec. 1, 1983, in a New London nursing home after a brief illness. He was born Sept. 20, 1895 in Floyd County, Virginia and was a seven year resident of Henderson coming from Roanoke, Va. He was a retired physiotherapist aide for the veterans administration facilities at Roanoke, Va., and a member of Eastside Baptist Church. He was a U. S. Army artillery veteran of World War I, holding the Purple Heart and the Bronze Star. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Clarice A. Wickham, Henderson; a daughter, Mrs. Chester Sinclair, Henderson; a brother, Ed J. Wickham, Blacksburg, Va; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
