Mr. Bratcher was born in Rockfield, Kentucky, and preceded in death by his parents, Ray F. and Willie Sullivan Bratcher, two brothers, C. W. Bratcher and W. F. Bratcher and a sister, Nelva Trevey. He had an ardent love for horse racing and gardening. He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Linda M. Bratcher, whom he met at Bethesda Naval Hospital as the two of them were serving in the Armed Forces. Also surviving are a son, Steve Bratcher and wife, Tammey; daughter, Debra Bratcher; grandchildren, Whitney Ryan Bratcher and Steven Bratcher, II; numerous nieces; nephews and two sisters-in-law, Rita Bratcher and Anna Marie Bratcher; aunt, Novice Sullivan; and his very special four legged friend, Quincey. Services will be at Oakeys South Chapel, 12 noon Monday, May 21, 2007. Interment will follow in Old Dominion Memorial Gardens. Steve is preceded in death by his parents, William and Linda Bratcher. Steve is survived by his beloved wife of 43 years, Tammey Bratcher. Children, Whitney Bratcher and Steven Bratcher, II. His sister Debra Bratcher, Uncle William Manning. Grandchildren Kyrstin, Katelynne, and Elexis Bratcher-Davis and Ferryn Bratcher. Also survived by father-in-law Lee Powers, sisters-in-laws Karolene (Randy) Pittman, Johniece (Donnie) Blankenship, Myra Powers and lots of loving nieces and nephews.
