Preceding her in death were her husband, George W. Gray Jr; her parents, Glen and Susan Garst Strickler; brother and sister-in-law, Curtis and Ruth Strickler; and sisters and brothers-in-law, Evelyn Sue Strickler Stultz, Pearl and Ferman Bowman, and Joel Bowman. Elizabeth is survived by her sister, Helen Bowman of Pittsburgh, Pa; her son, Roger W. Gray, of Virginia Beach, Va; daughter Caroline Gray, of Richmond, Va; her daughter and son-in-law, Kathryn and Jerry Christley, of Roanoke, Va; as well as her devoted sister-in-law, Helen Mills and husband, John Mills. Elizabeth is also survived by her 10 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren. Elizabeth was retired from employment with the Roanoke Veterans Administration Regional Office and Lewis Gale Hospital. The family wishes to express their appreciation for all the wonderful care and kindness that Elizabeth received during her illness. Oakeys South Chapel is handling funeral arrangements. The family will be receiving friends on Friday, March 5, 2010, at Oakeys South Chapel from 6 to 9 p.m. The funeral service will be held 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 6, 2010, at Oakeys South Chapel. Following the funeral service entombment will take place at the Chapel Garden Mausoleum in Sherwood Memorial Park in Salem, Va. Ryan and son in-law Tony, of Bedford, VA; Sons Charles L. Kennedy, of Baltimore, MD; Tim W.
