He is survived by his son, Gary R. Hodges, of Boones Mill; daughters and sons-in-law, Carolyn Lee Schoonover, of Roanoke, Dianne and Paul Humphrey, of Hardy, and Sharon Faye and Jimmy Draper, of Roanoke; nine grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; three greatgreatgrandchildren; and son-in-law, Elbert Humphrey of Fincastle. The family would like to recognize his granddaughter, Melissa Simmons and her boyfriend, Henry Taylor for the outstanding care and devotion they gave to her grand-daddy. Burial with full military honors will be Martin Memorial Park. on April 29, 2011.2
