Mr. Rogers had been residing at Bellepoint for the past seven years. He was a member of the Indian Mills Baptist church. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Lura Rogers, of Bellepoint; seven sons, Noah Rogers of Bellepoint, Ray and Stanley Rogers of Kessler, Claude Rogers, Red Sulphur Springs, Garland Rogers, Hines, Cyrus Rogers, Dayton, Ohio, Dorsey H. Rogers, Chicago, Illinois; two daughters, Mrs. Ruby Brumit, Richmond, Va; Mrs. Hallie Foster, Bellepoint; 14 grandchildren, three great grandchildren; one half brother, W. C. Rogers of Beckley; a half-sister, Mrs. Louella Craft, Arlington, Va. on September 5, 1957.4 He died on September 5, 1957 at Hinton, Summers Co., West Virginia, at age 75.5,4

Other survivors include his wife, Margaret May Kelley Rogers; two daughters, Mrs. Gloria Dixon and Mrs. Doris Bolen, both of Jacksonville, Fla; two sisters, Mrs. Hallie Foster of Bellepoint and Mrs. Ruby Wallace of Flint, Mich; four brothers, Ray of Kessler, Garland of Hines, Cyrus of Kettering, Ohio, and Dorsey Jr. of Dumfries, Va; and six grandchildren. The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Amwell Baptist Church at Rupert with Rev. Perlie Orndorff and Rev. Fred Dillon in charge. Burial will be in the Wallace Memorial Cemetery at Clintonville. The body will be taken to his home at 4 p.m. today from the Wallace and Wallace Funeral Home in East Rainelle. on August 13, 1968.3
