Weatherman. Darrell served in the United States Coast Guard and retired from the state after 31 years. He was a loving husband, father, faithful Christian serving as the church clerk, and Sunday school teacher for decades. Darrell was a man who loved his family, generous to all he knew, loved the outdoors and playing guitar. Darrell was a member of Morganton Freedom Church of God. In addition to his family he was preceded in death by sisters, Josephine Huntley Godwin, Janet Thompson Burleson; and first wife of 48 years Mary McFalls Weatherman. He is survived by his wife, Jacqueline “Jackie” Barrier Clark; daughters, Karen Weatherman Mancilla (Sergio), Mary Lynne Weatherman; step-daughters, Doris Clark, Phyllis Clark, Della Hatch (Kenneth) and Sharon Sells; step-son, Wayne Clark; grandchildren, Richie Suttles (Aiesha) and Anthony Suttles (Claire); great-grandchildren, Israel, Emmanuel, Roman, and Elias; brother, Kenton Weatherman; and sister, Jean Moore. In her spare time she enjoyed sewing, gardening, and cooking. Along with her parents, Janet was preceded in death by her husband; Guy Burleson; sons: Kenny, Dennis, and Larry Thompson and sister Josephine Godwin. Farley Jr. and devoted mother to daughter Patricia Cook and her husband, Frank, of Black Eagle; and devoted Granny to Kristina, Cortney, Chelsea and Katie Cook, all of Black Eagle.      Ira N. McColl Ira McColl, age 80, of Steeleville, IL, passed away on Tuesday, September 12, 2017 at 11:20 p.m. in his home. Ira was born on September 17, 1936 in Belleville, IL, a son to Ira and Georgia (Raban) McColl. On April 23, 1971 he married Ruth Ratliff in Waukegan, IL. Ira worked a fulfilling career in law enforcement being a Deputy Sheriff for Platte and Converse Counties in Wyoming from 1974 to 1992 and finally retiring after working at Menard Correctional Center where he worked as a cat walk guard. Ira was a veteran of the Navy having served aboard the USS Bristol, and in both the Vietnam and Korean War. Ira was a proud member of the USS Bristol Association Navy Club and the National Rifle Association, he also loved fishing and hunting. Survivors include three sons, Joey Lee Taylor (Suzette Hagan) of Wheatland, WY, Terry Wayne Taylor of Battle Mountain, NV, and Kenneth Michael McColl of Steeleville, IL and two grandchildren Jessica and Joshua Taylor. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife and his brother Ricky McColl.² He and Carole Jean Jones were divorced.² Ira N.
