He was a proud veteran of both the US Army and US Navy. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. Born September 02, 1935 in Anjean, WV, Virginia Ruth was a daughter of the late Oscar Forren and Glenna (nee Hudnell). She was raised and educated in Alderson, WV, where on May 1, 1952 Ruth married William "Ebb" Wickline. Ruth held employment at DeSoto, Inc. in Joliet for 32 years until her retirement. She attended Island City Baptist Church in Wilmington and will be remembered as a very giving person. Ruth loved spending time with her sisters and keeping in touch with them on the phone. She also enjoyed bowling and cherished the time spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Ruth is survived by her daughters, Debra (Tom) Glenn of Wilmington and Myra (Bob) Parrish of Braidwood; grandchildren, Daniel Glenn of Braidwood, Rachel Glenn and Jessica Parrish, both of Wilmington and Darrell (Renee) Parrish of Channahon; great-grandchildren, Leah Glenn, Corinne Ewenson, Spencer Parrish, Brandon Glenn, Abigail Parrish, Charlie Faulkner and Blake Faulkner; sisters, Vaughna Ochs of Virginia Beach, Virginia, Drema Miner of Wilmington, Shirley (Tom) Schlosser and Helen (Greg) Reineke, both of Defiance, Ohio; brother, Junior Forren of Columbia, SC, and numerous nieces and nephews. Ruth was preceded by her parents, Oscar Forren and Glenna Surgeon and husband, William Elbert "Ebb" Wickline (August 27, 2000). Visitation will be TODAY, Sunday, February 17th between the hours of 2:00PM and 8:00PM at Freitag-Reeves and Baskerville Funeral Home, 700 East Kahler Road in Wilmington. He worked for USG Interiors as a scheduling supervisor for 39 years. Born March 06, 1961, at Beckley, WV, she was the daughter of the late Gene Haden Holstein and Janice Aubrey Canterbury Holstein Meredith. Kimberly was a former employee of Dayton Tire Manufacturing. She was a 1979 graduate of Mount Hope High School and her hobbies included reading, decorating and spending time with her friends. The family wishes to give special thanks to the Bowers Hospice House staff for their excellent care and compassion and to her aunts, Judy Barley and Donna Canterbury for all the time they spent with Kim during her final days. Her step-father, Larry "Bucky" Meredith, preceded her in death. Survivors include her children, Gina (Alex) Mester and their children, Alyssa, Parker, Emmeline and Meredith of Pax, Chet (Tiffany) Downing and their son, Dakota of Maple Fork and Tyler Downing of Maple Fork, and a brother, Wesley (Shirley) Holstein of Grafton, Ohio.
