In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Emmit Allen; daughter, Brenda Allen; sister, Wilma Lucas; and a brother, Wendell Alder. Georgia was a 1948 graduate of Jonesville High School. She worked in the Lee County Courthouse for over 40 years as a legal secretary, and she was a member of Bolling’s Chapel Methodist Church. She is survived by two brothers, Glen Alder and Abijah “Mitch” Alder Jr., both of Cincinnati, OH; and several nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 19, in Lee Memorial Gardens, Woodway, VA.
