He died of multiple myeloma caused by Agent Orange. He was a mechanic for Sears Automotive, drove truck for United Parcel and was a veteran who served 20 years in the Army. Burt was a good husband, father and friend. His family will greatly miss him. He was loved by all who knew him. Surviving are his loving wife, Barbara Dustin Huffman; sons, Glenville Huffman II of Greenville, N.C., and Steve Huffman of Elkview; a daughter and her husband, Cindy and Brian Dunn of Elkview; brothers and their wives, James and Betty Huffman of Charleston, Dean and Hiley Huffman of Pikeville, Ky., and Don and Chone Huffman of Avera, G; a sister, Bonetta Seabolt of Roanoke, Va; and six grandchildren. Service will be 2 p.m. Monday, September 22, at the Hafer Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Rodney Smith officiating.      Geraldine "Gerrie" Crawford Geraldine “Gerrie” Turner, 68 of Zion Mountain, died Saturday June 5, 2021 at Greenbrier Valley Medical Center following a brief illness. Born April 11, 1953 in Hinton, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Jennings and Virginia Martin Crawford. Gerrie was a 1971 graduate of Talcott High School and Bluefield State College with a degree in nursing. She was a registered nurse for CAMC in Charleston, retiring with 30 years of service. Gerrie enjoyed shopping and spending time with her family. She was a Methodist and lived most of her life in Summers County. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Preston Turner in 2011; a twin sister, Josephine and a brother Thomas Crawford. Survivors include a son, Jared Turner of Zion Mountain and a daughter, Jessica Turner and companion Derick Chewning of Talcott. One brother, John David Crawford and wife Barbara of Newport, VA and one sister, Jane Asbury and husband Dan of Christiansburg, VA; one grandson, Nathan Chewning, along with several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday June 11, 2021 at Pivont Funeral Home Chapel in Hinton with Mike Tabor officiating. Burial will follow in Mt.
