Mrs. Poff was preceded in death by her husband, James Russell Poff in 1980, and their only child, James Russell Poff, Jr., in 1956. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Edgar R. Vaught, Wytheville, and three sisters Hazel V. Nash of Atlanta and Roanoke, Mabel V. Haga of Rural Retreat, and Fern V. Schaefer of Rockville, Md. Anna was born in Grayson County, a daughter of the late Reece Edgar and Ollie Thomas Vaught. She was a member of Greene Memorial United Methodist Church and retired with 35 years service in the retail clothing business, working first at Smartwear Irving Saks, and later at Lazarus, Inc. Surviving are her nephews and spouses, Harold D. and Scottie Haga of Daleville, Thomas E. and Edna Vaught of Wytheville, Michael T. Schaefer of Mt. Airy, Md; her nieces and a spouse, Betty V. Foster of Richmond, Cleta H. and Scott Roberts of Rural Retreat, Patricia Ann Schaefer of Rockville, Md. A funeral service will be held at Oakey's Roanoke Chapel Monday, July 26, 7 p.m., with Pastor Dennis S. Roberts officiating. The family will receive friends following the service. A graveside service will be held in Evergreen Burial Park, Tuesday, July 27, 10 a.m. with the Rev. Dr. Walter M. Lockett, Jr. officiating. Friends may call at Oakey's Roanoke Chapel after 1 p.m. Monday. on July 26, 1999.4
