Mr. Hancock, 26, is survived by his wife, Isabelle; three daughters, Stella June, Brenda Kay and Linda Fay; a son, Johnny Grant Hancock; three brothers, Delmar, Charles and William, all of Chesapeake; two sisters, Miss Jackie Hancock of Chespeake and Mrs. Betty Mullens of Crown Hill; and his parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Hancock, Sr., of Chesapeake. on May 10, 1953.⁵

The funeral service will be noon Friday, November 14, at Pryor Funeral Home, East Bank. Burial will follow in Ronda Cemetery, Ronda. A gathering of friends and family will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Pryor Funeral Home, East Bank, with the Rev. Jack Henry and the Rev. Don Clark officiating. Burial will be in Kanawha Valley Memorial Gardens, Glasgow.
