April will be missed by her loving husband, Keith Moses; her family in West Virginia, Virginia and North Carolina; her many friends, neighbors and co-workers; and especially her radiant smile and infectious laugh. She will always be remembered for her stunning blue eyes and warm smile, unmatched enthusiasm, a personality that brightened the room and an ability to lift anyone's spirit. Though her life was shortened by illness, she lived it to the fullest. She loved her family and friends, living in the mountains, fast cars, fun and adventure - she simply loved life. She genuinely had a deep care and compassion for all those she came in contact with, and was loved dearly by her co-workers, family and friends. Born April 1, 1967, in Beckley, April was the daughter of George Thomas Terry Sr. and Maggie "Freida" Walker-Terry. She grew up in Oceana, among the youngest of eight siblings, and graduated from Oceana High School in 1985. She was safety director of Counts and Dobyns Inc., Lynchburg. Survivors include her husband, Keith Moses; stepdaughter, Alisa Moses of Fayetteville, N.C; father, George Thomas Terry Sr. of Oceana; three brothers, George Thomas Terry II and his wife, Debbie, of Oceana, Tim Terry and his wife, Jackie, of Spring Grove, Va., and John Terry and his wife, Phillis, of Aylett, Va; four sisters, Linda Terry-Lilly and husband, Delano, of Colonial Heights, Va., Brenda Terry-Arrington and her husband, Tim, of Glen Daniel, Joy Terry-Williams and her husband, Robert, of Oceana and Heather Terry-Chambers and her husband, Bobby, of Mount Airy, N.C; 18 nieces and nephews and 13 great-nieces and nephews.3 She was born on April 1, 1967 at Beckley, Raleigh Co., West Virginia.1,5,3 As of August 19, 1990,her married name was Moses.1 She married Brian Keith Moses on August 19, 1990.1,3 April Dawn Terry died on December 31, 2003 at Lynchburg, Virginia, at age 36.1,5,3

     Richard Samuel "Sam" Terry was buried at Trail Cemetery, Surveyor, Raleigh Co., West Virginia.7,10,9 He was born on April 25, 1880 at Maple Meadow, Raleigh Co., West Virginia.1,2,3,7,9 He married Ada May/Mae Lemon on October 7, 1912 at Surveyor, Raleigh Co., West Virginia.2,11,8,9 Richard Samuel "Sam" Terry died on October 1, 1952 at Surveyor, Raleigh Co., West Virginia, at age 72.7,9 He Richard Samuel Terry, 72, of Surveyor, died at his residence Wednesday at 11:45 p.m. after an illness of two years. He was born a Maple Meadow, April 25, 1880, the son of Frank and Martha Jane Underwood Terry, both deceased. He was married in 1913 to Ada Mae Lemon, who survives. He had been a resident of Surveyor for the past 28 years, his last employment was with the Virginian Railway. Other survivors include three sons, Teddy, of Harper Heights, Denver, of Surveyor, and Earl, at home; two daughters, Mrs. Cuba Wiley, Edwight, Mrs. Lance Carter, of Baltimore; and six grandchildren; five brothers, Floyd and Freelin, both of Surveyor, Pierce of Tolleytown, Dewey of Eccles, Aaron, of Mt. Hope; and two sisters, Mrs. Zed Castle, and Mrs. Oliver O'Dell, both of Tolleytown. The body will be removed from the Melton Mortuary to the residence at 4 p.m. today. Funeral services will be conducted at the Surveyor Church at 2 p.m. Saturday with the Rev. D. W. French officiating. Burial will be made in Trail Cemetery at Surveyor. Active pallbearers will include Ed Covey, Sidney Daniels, Gale Bowling, Raymond Prather, Sam Humphrey, Claude Horton, Robert Brown, and Beecher Clay. on October 3, 1952.9
