Born in Ashland, KY, he was the husband of the late Mary Maxwell Naugle. He was also preceded in death by his parents, Harry H. Naugle, Sr. and Irene Reeves Naugle; step-mother, Thelma Coburn Naugle; his son, Harry Holbrook Naugle, III; and grandson, Alan Leo Ramey, III. He retired as a Chief Hospital Corpsman from the U.S. Navy after 21 years of service and he also retired from Sentara Norfolk General Hospital as a Chief Heartpump Technician after 21 years. Left to cherish his loving memory are his four daughters, Kathryn Paradine and husband Harry of Virginia Beach, VA, Irene Hale and husband Yogi of Norfolk, VA, Sharon Novik and husband Tom of Concord, NC and Pamela Naugle of Southerland, VA; daughter-in-law, Debbie Naugle Ford; four step-children, Carol Maxwell of Virginia Beach, VA, Mary Maxwell Fisher and husband Norman of Richmond, VA, Henry L. Maxwell and wife Kathy of Richmond, VA and William G. Maxwell and wife Betty of Norfolk, VA; two sisters, Barbara Detty and Phyliss Coyan, both of Jackson, OH; and his brother, David Naugle of Mt. Pleasant, SC; as well as all his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The graveside service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday, May 22, 2006, in Forest Lawn Cemetery by Pastor John O. McCloud. Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel is handling the arrangements. Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, February 21, 1998, at Grove United Methodist Church in Radford, with the Rev. Clarence Dishman officiating. Interment will follow in Highland Memory Gardens at Dublin. The family will receive friends at the church from 12 noon until 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to Grove United Methodist Church. Mr. Craft was born November 11, 1926, a son of the late William Roscoe and Ethel Kittenger Craft. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his Wife, Elizabeth Swain Craft, in 1996, and by three Brothers, Theo Craft, James Craft, and Bo Craft. He was a veteran of World War II with the US Army. He was a retired foreman for the Charlotte Observer newspaper. Surviving are his Son, Herbert “Jack” Craft and his Wife, Lisa, of Charlotte, NC., his Daughter, Jan Elliott and her Husband, Kenny, of Lynchburg; his Sister, Rachael Rock, of Covington, his Brother, Jerry Craft, and his Wife, Christine, of Heidelburg, Germany, and a number of nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be held Sunday, March 29, 2015, at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Arritt Funeral Home with the Rev. Bill Hartsfield officiating. The family will receive their friends for one hour prior to the service at Arritt Funeral Home. The interment will be made in Alleghany Memorial Park with graveside rites. The family suggests that donations in Mr. Craft’s name be made to the Alzheimer’s Association at P.O. Box 96011 Washington, DC 20090­6011 or to the Wounded Warrior Project at P.O. Box 758517 Topeka, Kansas 66675.3 He was buried at Alleghany Memorial Park, Low Moor, Alleghany Co., Virginia.3 He was born on November 11, 1926 at Virginia.1,3 He married E. Elizabeth Swain on August 7, 1948.5,3 Herbert Jackson Craft Sr. died on March 26, 2015 at Charlotte, Mecklenburg Co., North Carolina, at age 88.3
