She was born in Sneedville, TN on October 14, 1928 to the late Abijah and Quinnie Sarah (Trent) Alder. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Emmit Allen; daughter, Brenda Allen; sister, Wilma Lucas; and a brother, Wendell Alder. Georgia was a 1948 graduate of Jonesville High School. She worked in the Lee County Courthouse for over 40 years as a legal secretary, and she was a member of Bolling’s Chapel Methodist Church. She is survived by two brothers, Glen Alder and Abijah “Mitch” Alder Jr., both of Cincinnati, OH; and several nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 19, in Lee Memorial Gardens, Woodway, VA. Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth Cave, Jonesville, Va; parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Cave, Trout Dale, Va; sons, Charles Cave, Gate City and Joe Cave, Jonesville, Va; a daughter, Mrs. Dorothy Ford, Summerset, Ky; brothers, John Cave, Marion, Va; Troy Cave of Pennsylvania; sisters, Mrs. Mae Walton Trout Dale, Va. and Miss Edith Cave, Roanoke, Va., and two grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Bowling Chapel Church in Jonesville with Rev. Boyd Godby and Rev. H. H. Daugherty officiating. A native of Jonesville, she was born on April 16, 1954 to the late Billy and Mildred Hines of Jonesville, VA. She is survived by her husband, William Mullins and three stepdaughters, Nikki, Brittany, and Savannah Mullins, all of the home; two daughters, Tina Townsend and husband David of Duffield, VA, Tiffany Hughes and husband Chris of Duffield, VA; one sister, Linda Bacon and husband Mike of Rose Hill, VA; two grandchildren, Lashawnda Barnett and Brady Townsend. The family will receive friends from 10 until 11 a.m. Friday July 12, 2013 at Robinette Funeral Home in Jonesville, VA.
