Virginia Lynn Bland Virginia Lynn Bland Duncan, 76, of Christiansburg, VA, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her family on Sunday, May 21, 2023. She was born in Radford, Virginia on February 22, 1947, to the late James Edward Bland, Sr., and Doris McGhee Bland. She was also preceded in death by her brother Harry Lee Bland. Lynn dreamed of following in her mother's footsteps to become an RN. She accomplished this and served many families during their time of need. She is survived by her husband, Jackson B. Duncan; daughter and son-in-law, Marie and Mike Rorrer; son and daughter-in-law, Eddie and Suzanne Woolwine; grandchildren, Ashley Apjok and husband Scott, Kelsey Woolwine, McKinley Rorrer, Ryan Woolwine and wife Nicole; great-grandchildren, Maggie Apjok and Lucas Apjok; stepdaughter, Kim Wade and husband Steve; step-grandchildren, Jackson Wade and Shannon Wade; sisters, Kaye Bland and Delma Griffith; brother and sister-in-law, Jimmy and Sandy Bland; sister-in-law, Mary Bland; numerous nieces and nephews; Jenny her beloved companion who was always by her side. A special thank you to her caregivers Lena Lytton and Alicia Leonard. Our family was comforted in knowing that Lynn was being cared for and loved on a daily basis. Thank you to all the nurses and staff at Intrepid USA Hospice Radford during this time. Interment will follow in Sunset Cemetery in Christiansburg, VA.3 She was buried at Sunset Cemetery, 501 South Franklin Street, Christiansburg, Montgomery Co., Virginia.3 She was born on February 22, 1947 at Radford, Virginia.3,4,5 She married Luther Gilbert Woolwine, son of Rev. Charles Noah "Charlie" Woolwine and Virginia Kathleen Vest, on December 6, 1962 at Sparta, Alleghany Co., North Carolina.1,2,4 As of December 6, 1962,her married name was Woolwine.2 Virginia Lynn Bland and Luther Gilbert Woolwine were divorced on April 4, 1972 at Montgomery Co., Virginia.4 Virginia Lynn Bland died on May 21, 2023 at Christiansburg, Montgomery Co., Virginia, at age 76.3

Gracie Lucille Walker was buried at Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Courthouse Road, Princeton, Mercer Co., West Virginia.3 She was born on May 24, 1922 at Bramwell, Mercer Co., West Virginia.3 She married Elmer Eli Conner, son of Dennis Haden Conner and Addie Anne"Annie" Kingrea, on December 17, 1938.1,4,3 As of December 17, 1938,her married name was Conner.4 Gracie Lucille Walker died on March 13, 2013 at Christiansburg, Montgomery Co., Virginia, at age 90.3 She Gracie Walker Conner, 90, of Wheatland Assisted Living in Radford, Va., and formerly of Princeton, W.Va., passed away surrounded by her loving family as she went to meet the Lord and Master Jesus Christ on Wednesday, March 13, 2013, at the New River Valley Medical Center in Christiansburg, Va. Born on May 24, 1922, in Bramwell, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Henry Walker and Vellie Hill Walker. Gracie married her loving husband, Elmer Conner, in 1938 and had two loving children, Elmer Dale Conner and Wanda Jean Conner. She lived in McComas with her family until 1955, loving every minute of her life in this little coal camp. She attended McComas Methodist Church later moving her membership to the Maple View Church of Christ in Green Valley. She moved to Radford, Va., in 2002 to be close to her daughter, Jeanie, and her grandchildren. Gracie worked for Goodykoontz Drug Store in Bluefield for 25 years. She loved bowling, and took many national bowling trips. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 73 years, Elmer E. Conner; one son, Elmer Dale Conner; one daughter, Jeannie Conner Miano; two brothers, Robert Mabe and Athel Mabe; and two sisters, Hazel Carter and Opal Hankins. Survivors include six grandchildren, Troy Lee Conner, Debra Ann Conner Shannon, Michael Anthony Miano and wife, Heather, Gina Marie Miano, Marc Christopher Miano and wife, Sarah, and Michelle Miano Valentine and husband, Shawn; four great- grandchildren, Morgan Concetta Miano, Anthony Stephen Miano, Catherine Alexandra Miano, and Tyler Michael Valentine; one sister, Dorothy Holtz, of Omaha, Neb; and extended family and many friends at Wheatland Assisted Living, that provided her with wonderful care and friendship. Funeral Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 16, 2013, at the George W. Seaver Chapel of Seaver Funeral Home in Princeton, W.Va., with the Rev. Tony Reed officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Friends may call at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until the service hour on Saturday. on March 15, 2013.3

Born September 21, 1939, in Giatto, W.Va., he was the son of Gracie Conner of Radford and the late Elmer "Eli" Conner. Dale grew up in Giatto, where his father taught him to love the game of baseball. An avid player, he continued his play internationally while serving his country. Dale proudly served his country in the United States Air Force, Honorably Discharged in 1963. He worked for Watkins Trucking in North Carolina and volunteered his time to care for local children. He was a former member of Maple View Church of Christ in Bluefield and avid W.Va. Mountaineer fan. During recent years, he relocated to Virginia to care for his loving parents. Dale was preceded in death by his father and sister, Jeanie Conner Miano. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Nancy Conner of Christiansburg; son, Troy Lee Conner Malone of Tennessee; daughter, Debra Anne Conner Shannon of Florida; stepsons, David Wayne Sowers of Virginia, and Jerry Michael Pettrey of New Mexico; and nieces and nephews, Anthony Miano, Gina Miano, Marc Miano, and Michelle Miano Valentine. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday, November 14, 2011, at the George W. Seaver Chapel of Seaver Funeral Home in Princeton with the Rev. Tony Reed officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. The W.Va. National Guard Honor Guard and the Mercer County Veterans Council will conduct military graveside rites. Friends may call at the funeral home from Noon until the service hour Monday.
