She was a member of Covenant Church in Shepherdstown. She is survived by two daughters, Nona Hager of Martinsburg and Karen Aliff of Shepherdstown; four sisters, Ethel Nunley of Radford, Va., Eva Asbury and Hazel Collins, both of Abbs Valley, Va., and Mary L. Taylor of Charleston, W.Va; two brothers, Herman Shrader and Dewey Shrader, both of Abbs Valley; six grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one sister, Irene Shrader. Services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Brown Funeral Home in Martinsburg. The Rev. Al Clipp will officiate. Burial will be in Pleasant View Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends today from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Shepherdstown Volunteer Fire Department, P.O. Box F, Shepherdstown, WV 25443 or to a charity of one's choice. on October 21, 2005.4

Elmore of Altoona, Iowa; sisters, Jeanette Drennen of Oak Hill and Kay Marie Chapman of Heathsville, Va; granddaughters, Karla Bright of Hillard, Fla., and Lindsey Gonzalez of Valdosta, Ga; grandson, Jerry Loper of Valdosta; great-grandchildren, Kailey Nolan, Justin Loper, Cody Bright and Tristan Gonzalez; aunts, Edna Nicholas and Genevieve Elmore of Scarbro; nephews, Gary Elmore and Richard Mascilak; nieces, Pamela Strong and Deborah Taylor; and many cousins. He is also survived by his former wife and life-long friend, Anne Elmore of Lake Park, and sister-in-law and special friend, Janet Hunter of Burlington, N.C. In July of 1949 he entered the Navy, and had a career that spanned over 20 years. In that time he traveled all over the world, visiting six of the seven continents. He held the rank of Chief Petty Officer and served in the Korean and Vietnam Wars. He was awarded many decorations, medals, commendations, citations and campaign ribbons, which included UN Ribbon, Navy Occupation Ribbon, China Service Medal, Korean Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, four Good Conduct Medals, National Defense Service Medal, Combat Action Ribbon and Meritorious Unit Commendation. Mr. McGinnis met his wife Mae while stationed in Hawaii and they married December 16, 1972. The McGinnises and their four daughters moved to Vancouver, Wash., where Mr. McGinnis worked on active reserve as an Operations Specialist in Swan Island. He moved the family back to Enterprise in 1973 and became the new owner of the Enterprise Liquor Store, where he worked until 1988, when he retired for health reasons. Mr. McGinnis enjoyed hunting and fishing, and he was an astute World War II history buff. He had a vast coin collection from every country he has visited and he was an avid fan of Enterprise High School and University of Oregon football. He was an active member of the Enterprise Elks, Veterans of Foreign Wars, and served on the Enterprise City Council. He is survived by his wife, Mae McGinnis; sisters Marilyn Crawford of Klamath Falls and Lolita Fermanich of Antigo, Wis; children John and Lonzo Sullivan of Pearl City, Hawaii, Craig Sullivan of Mililani, Hawaii, Barbara Conrad of Enterprise, Marjorie Rogers of Enterprise, Terri Moncrief of Joseph, Shelly Sullivan of Auburn, Wash., and Georgia Mae McGinnis of Portland; 19 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. A memorial service was held on June 7, 2006. on June 22, 2006.2
