Mrs. Nuxall was an employee of Pacific Northwest Bell Telephone Company in Walla Walla and Pendleton until her retirement in February 1978. Following her retirement, she returned to Enterprise to make her home. She was a member of the Catholic Church, Communications Workers of America, Oregon Telephone Pioneers, Franklin Mint Collection Society and VFW Auxiliary. For the last three winters she resided with her son and daughter-in-law in Richland, Wash. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Leo and Mike Nuxall; three half-sisters and two half-brothers. Mrs. Nuxall is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Stanley and Sandra Nuxall, grandson, Stanley L. Nuxall Jr., granddaughter, Treah and her husband Scott Pierce, great-grandchild, Kylie Pierce, sister, Norma Goodale and several nieces, nephews, and grand nieces and nephews. In accordance with her wishes, she was cremated and no funeral services will be held. Memorial contributions may be made to the Tri-Cities Chaplaincy Hospice, 2108 W. Entiat, Kennewick, WA 99336. on February 2, 2006.5

Marylin was born to Uley and Georgia McGinnis April 16, 1925 in Enterprise, Ore., where she grew up and attended school. She went into nurses training at The Dalles Hospital School of Nursing during World War II. After becoming a registered nurse, Marylin married Douglas Crawford of Joseph, Ore. They farmed in Joseph for several years before moving to Klamath Falls in 1960. Douglas worked for Weyerhaeuser Company. Marylin worked as a nurse and nursing supervisor at various hospitals in Klamath Falls. Marylin and Doug succeeded in raising four ornery Irish sons. In their later years, they moved to Keno and retired. Marylin was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Douglas; brothers, Howard, Pat and Gordon; sons, Martin, Kevin and Paul; daughters-in-law, Terry and Brenda C; and grandchild, Jeremy Schmaling. She is survived by her sister, Lolita (Jack) Fermanich, Wisconsin; son, Clifford (Brenda R), Klamath Falls; grandchildren, Daniel Crawford, Texas, David Crawford, Sutherland, Douglas Crawford, Michigan, Brandi Bushnell, Montana; Michael Hecker, Portland, Charlotte Abshere, Hillsboro, Susanne Schmaling, Colorado, Christen Stacey, Bend; and many nieces, nephews and great-grandchildren. Marylin loved to listen to music, sing, dance, garden, swim, read, tell stories and was an excellent fly fisherman. on October 5, 2014.6

Pat was born on Aug. 16, 1926, to the late Uley and Georgia (Childers) McGinnis in Enterprise, Ore. Pat was raised in Enterprise and graduated from Enterprise High School in 1944. On Jan. 15, 1947, she was united in marriage to John E. "Jack" Fermanich. He preceded her in death on Dec. 5, 2014. Pat was a member of SS. Mary & Hyacinth Catholic Church. She enjoyed golfing, bowling, traveling, reading and entertaining friends and family. Pat treasured her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Jack and Pat lived on Bass Lake and in Winter Haven, Fla., where they welcomed family and friends to their home in a virtual open house for 60 years. Survivors include two daughters, Kathleen (Fred) Kelm of Antigo, and Marylin (David McElroy) McGinnis Fermanich of Orlando, Fla; three sons, Jeffrey (Therese) Fermanich of Antigo, Tim (Barb) Fermanich of Antigo, and Paul (Jodie) Fermanich of Bass Lake; 11 grandchildren, Jennifer, Rebecca, Tara, Beau, Timmi, John, Jacob, Caitlin, Chloe, Ellie, and Justin; 10 great-grandchildren, Matt, Scott, Jack, Greta, Lily, William, Benjamin, Izabelle, Emma, Stella, and Tate; four sisters-in-law, Marion Fermanich of Antigo, Mae McGinnis of Oregon, Liz McGinnis of Oregon, and Mary McGinnis of Oregon; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, Pat was preceded in death by a sister, Marylin Crawford and three brothers Gordon, Howard, and Pat McGinnis. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday at 11 a.m. at SS. Mary & Hyacinth Catholic Church, Antigo. Father Charles Hoffmann will officiate. Entombment will be in Queen of Peace Mausoleum. A memorial in Pat's name will be established for All Saints Catholic School. on March 24, 2015.6

Fear, 68, of Sigourney, died at 5:30 p.m. Friday of a heart attack while visiting the home of Matt Dumont on Ringgold street. He was born January 5, 1884, near Delta, and spent his life in the Keokuk area. He was married to Lena Adrian of Sigourney. They farmed southwest of here until retiring to Sigourney 10 years ago. He was a member of the Delta Methodist church. Suviving are his wife, two sons, Earle A. Fear of Sigourney and J. D. Fear of Los Angeles; a daughter, Mrs. Vera Utterback of Sigourney; two brothers, Melvin of Rock Island and Glenn of Hayesville; and two grandchildren. Another brother, Dea Fear, died several months ago and a sister, Mrs. Estes Rose, also preceded him in death. The funeral will held Sunday at the Reynolds chapel here at an hour to be set. Burial will be in the Garrett cemetery near Delta. on May 10, 1952.7

Davis and Minnie Mae Miles, on June 15, 1917 at Keokuk Co., Iowa.10,11,3 Glen Floyd Fear died on July 4, 1963 at Hayesville, Keokuk Co., Iowa, at age 65.3 He Service for Glen Floyd Fear, 65, of Hayesville, was held Sunday afternoon at the Reynolds Funeral chapel in Sigourney, with the Rev. W. H. Cross, officiating and burial was in the Conner cemetery. Mr. Fear died suddenly at his farm home north of Hayesville on Thursday, July 4. He was born August 2, 1897, on a farm two and one-half miles east of Delta, the son of Daniel O. and Amanda Pence Fear. On June 15, 1917, he was married to Jessie Mae Davis, who passed away several years ago. His entire life was spent in Keokuk county. He was preceded in death by his wife, two daughters in infancy, Helen Minnie, Eva Lois and three brothers, Alvin, Melvin and Dean, and one sister, Mrs. Irene Rose. A brother and sister died in infancy. He is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Thelma Shipley and Mrs. Orville Thompson, both of Sigourney; and Mrs. Veda Ewald of What Cheer. Six grandchildren, Larry and Gary Shipley. Mrs. Margery Veach, Gaila Thompson of Sigourney; Sandra and Shirley Ewald of What Cheer and three great-grandchildren, Philip Shipley, Robin Shipley, and Rhonda Veach. Pall bearers were Everette Fox, Harold Yahn, Leonard Tygart, Bill Mertz, Rex Utterback and Don Brinning. on July 10, 1963.3

Fear died on September 24, 1960 at Illinois at age 71.3,4,10 He Melvin Fear, 71, of 2523 6th Ave., Rock Island, died at 2 p m. Saturday in a Quad-City hospital. The body has been sent to the Reynolds Funeral Home in Sigourney, Iowa, where funeral services will be held tomorrow afternoon at 1. Burial will be in Garrett Cemetery in Sigourney. Mr Fear was born Sept. 2, 1889, in Delta, Iowa, a son of Daniel and Amanda Fear. He attended schools in Delta and on Oct 24, 1910, was married to Mary Hackert in Sigourney. He had resided in Rock Island for the past 17 years. He had been employed in maintenance department of the J. I. Case Co. and as a member the First Methodist church in Delta. Surviving are the widow; two daughters, Mrs. Alice M. Wilson and Mrs. Dorothy Archer, both of Rock Island, one brother, Glenn, of Sigourney, and three grandchildren. His parents, three brothers and two sisters preceded him in death. on September 26, 1960.4

     Orpha M. Lamb was buried at Garrett Cemetery, Delta, Keokuk Co., Iowa.2 She was born on February 19, 1877 at Keokuk Co., Iowa.2 As of March 14, 1895,her married name was Fear.1 She married Sanford H. Fear, son of William Abraham "W. A." "Abe" Fear and Sarah Conner, on March 14, 1895 at Keokuk Co., Iowa.1,3 Orpha M. Lamb DELTA — Mrs. Orpha Fear, 74, died at 6:45 a.m. today of a heart attack at her home northwest of Delta. She was an authority on flowers and many people visited her home to see her garden. Her husband, Sanford Fear, died last December. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Ben Thomas of Oskaloosa and Mrs. Howard Grill and Mrs. Joe Thomas, both of Delta; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. on June 3, 1943.3 She died on June 3, 1946 at Delta, Keokuk Co., Iowa, at age 69.2,3
