Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday evening at three o'clock from the Fairview church, by Rev. Mr. White, and interment will be made in the the family burial ground. on March 20, 1934.2

Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Garnett Cook Daniel of the home; three daughters, Mrs. Jo Ann Bell, Mrs. Mary McFall and Mrs. Fay Chapman, Danville; one sister, Mrs. Verlie Booher, Danville; and seven grandchildren. A funeral will be held from the Swicegood Funeral Chapel at 2 p.m. Monday by the Rev. Bobby Green, the Rev. W.D. Sheets and the Rev. Earl D. Ownbey. Interment will be in Danville Memorial Gardens. The body is at Swicegood Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 3-4:30 p.m. Sunday. At other times they will be at the residence on Westover Drive. on August 7, 1977.3

James E. "Billy" Booher was buried at Highland Burial Park, Danville, Virginia.2 He was born circa 1929 at Danville, Virginia.1,2 He died on March 10, 1951 at Korea.2 He Last rites for Sgt. James E. (Billy) Booher, of the Martinsville Road who was killed in action in Korea, will be held tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock from Townes funeral home. Interment will be in Highland Burial Park where full military rites will be accorded by H. G. McGuire Post 97. The body of the 21-year-old soldier reached Danville last night at 7:35 under military escort for the funeral services under the Army's reburial program. Sgt. Booher, the son of Ernest R. Booher and Verlie Daniel Booher, was a native of Danville and had spent his entire life here before entering the service. He enlisted in the Army three years ago and received his training at Fort Jackson, S. C. On January 5, of this year he was sent overseas. He was killed in action in Korea last March 10. In addition to his parents, he is survived by two sisters and two brothers: Mrs. James Echols, Mrs. Billy Elliott, Ernest R. Booher and Darold J. Booher, all of Danville. on September 20, 1951.2
