Her funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Apostolic Christian Church, Fairbury, with ministers of the church officiating. Burial will be in South Apostolic Christian Cemetery, Fairbury. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury, and one hour prior to the service at Tuesday the church. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be directed to the Fairview Haven Retirement Community, Fairbury. Rosamond Esther was born Oct. 17, 1920, in Rockford, Iowa, to William Alvin and Ida Sophia Reinke Masters. She grew up in Peoria and Fairbury. Rosamonds mother died when she was three years old. She moved to Fairbury in 1923, and lived with her grandparents, William Albert and Rosa Bryant Masters. She then moved to Peoria in 1934, and graduated from Peoria Central High School in 1938. She married Harvey William Zehr Sr. on Feb. 10, 1940. He died June 20, 1997. She is survived by two sons, Harvey William Zehr Jr., Urbandale, Iowa, and Robert (Kathy) Zehr, Fruitland Park, Fla; five grandchildren, Robin Zehr, Urbandale, Iowa; Rebekah (Daniel) Fehr, Fairbury; Jamey (John) Apps, Bloomington; Robert Jr. (Stacy), Irvine, Calif; and Harvey William Zehr III (Sara), North Liberty, Iowa; one step-granddaughter, Megan Doonan, Summerfield, Fla; four great-grandchildren, Whitney, Oliver, Jax and Alice; three stepgreat-grandchildren, Justis, Jace and Jerzea; and two sisters-in-law, Dorothy Strieb and Mildred Allen, both of Fairbury. Rosamond was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; two sisters, Opal Austman and Ruth Hippen; and three brothers, Art Masters, William Floyd Masters and Everett Fritz Masters. Rosie lived her entire married life on the family farm south of Fairbury. She moved to Fairview Haven Retirement Community in August 2013. The family wants to acknowledge the excellent care she received from OSF Hospice and Fairview Haven. She loved visits from friends, family and also enjoyed flowers and animals, especially her dog, Buddy. She enjoyed country living and being involved with the family farm doing anything to remain productive and helpful. In retirement she enjoyed the opportunity to travel extensively with her sons. on September 15, 2013.3

Interment will be at Forrest Township Cemetery. She was born Sept. 14, 1912, in Vernon Center, Minn., a daughter of William A. and Ida Rienke Masters. She married Roy D. Hippen on June 23, 1934, in Madison, Wis. He preceded her in death on Jan. 12, 1972. Ruth is survived by two daughters, Yvonne Carlson, Las Vegas, Nev., and Gwen Love, Redding, Calif; seven grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Opal Austman, Forrest, and Rosamond Zehr, Fairbury; one sister-in-law, Mildred Allen, Fairbury; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Royalene Davis; one great-granddaughter; and three brothers. She was a lifetime homemaker and was a cook at Forrest-Strawn-Wing High School for many years. Ruth enjoyed quilting and spending time with her family. She was a member of the Forrest United Methodist Church, Women's Society and the J.A. Folwell American Legion Post 174 Auxiliary.

He was born Aug. 16, 1876, in Nebraska. He was a retired contractor. Mr. Cox is survived by two sons, Harold, San Jose, Calif. and Lowell, Ratron, N. M; three daughters, Mrs. Caroline Evans, Kennewick, Wash., Mrs. Ruth Bollman, Kellogg, Idaho, and Mrs. Betty DuVall, Portland; one brother, Timothy, Hot Springs, S. D; one sister, Mrs. Ethel South, Los Angeles, Calif., and several grandchildren. on September 23, 1957.6
