She was 97. Moore was born April 2, 1908, in Vancouver, B.C., to Amos and Annie Beal Burton. She married Viron Moore on Aug. 10, 1930, in Greeley, Colo. He died July 7, 1992. She had lived in Eugene since 1923 and was a graduate of University High School. She graduated in 1930 from the University of Oregon, where she belonged to Alpha Gamma Delta sorority. Moore enjoyed her family, travel, watercolor painting, bridge and writing poetry. She belonged to PEO, the University Women's Club and the Aristocrat Trailer Club, and was active in the Lakewood Park Club. Survivors include two daughters, Charlene Simpson of Eugene and Judith Moore of Myrtle Creek; one grandchild and two great-grandchildren. A grandson, Mark Simpson, died previously. The January reception will be at 1 p.m. at the Lakewood Park Clubhouse. Burial was in Rest-Haven Memorial Park in Eugene. Rest-Haven Memorial Park & Funeral Home in Eugene was in charge of arrangements. on November 15, 2005.2
