Hall was born circa 1943.2 He died on February 21, 2015 at Virginia.2 He Herman C. (H.C.) Hall, 72, of Blue Ridge, Va., passed from this life to his Heavenly home on Saturday, February 21, 2015. His family and friends helped keep him home during his final days and his loving daughter, Paula, was at his side. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Phyllis Smith Hall; his third wife, Lynn Nickols Hall; father, Leslie W. Hall Jr; mother, Josephine B. Haymaker Hall; sister, Charlotte Hall Smith; brother, Calvin Glenn Hall; special aunt, Garnette Butt; nephew, Phillip Hall; and niece, Melissa Garrett. H.C. served his country as a private in the United States Army. He retired from New River Electric Corporation after 35 years of service. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, and was an avid golfer. He finished his last 18 holes on January 17. He loved animals and enjoyed bird-watching. Surviving to cherish his memory are his daughter, Paula D. Hall of Midlothian; grandson, Cameron Hall-French of Midlothian; stepsons, Jeremy and Jason Nickols of Troutville; brothers and sisters-in-law, James and Doris Hall of Troutville, Richard (Dickie) and Barbara Hall of Salem, Linda and Mike Sarvor of Elliston, and Deborah H. and Gordon Garrett of Elliston; sister-in-law, Connie Hall of Elliston; sister, Gwyn G. (G.G.) Hall of Salem; aunt and uncle, Jan and Fred Apgar of Elliston; and many nieces and nephews. A private family service will be held. Glenn leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife, Connie Sue; and children, Carey and Robert Peerman and grandson, Thomas, and Erin and Shon Nadeau; his brothers and sisters, James Hall (Doris), Charlotte Smith, HC Hall, Linda Sarver (Mike), Richard Hall (Barbara), Debbie Garrett (Gordon), GG Hall, Garland Atkinson, Howard Atkinson (Linda), Jack Atkinson (Betty), Vivian Semones (Dale), Mack Atkinson, Dick Atkinson (Kay), Phyllis Epperly (James), Allen Atkinson (Corrine), and Debbie Davis; and numerous nieces and nephews. Glenn was an accomplished carpenter and mechanic and loved cars, animals and life. He had been a truck driver his whole life and will be missed by his Kroger family. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 1, 2011, from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Funeral Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Thursday, June 2, 2011, in the chapel of John M. Oakey and Son, Salem with the Rev. Dan Netting officiating. Interment will follow at Sherwood Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Fort Lewis Volunteer Fire Department, 3915 West Main Street, Salem, VA 24153. on June 2, 2011.3
