William Harley Conner, 64, of Salem, formally of Copper Hill, passed away on Saturday April 20, 2024, at his home. He was preceded in death by his parents, W. Alvin and Doris Agee Conner; sister, Linda Jefferson. He is survived by his wife, Sarah Jones Conner; sons, Travis Conner, Benjamin Conner; daughter, Emily Conner; 3 Grandsons, Zachariah, Zymeer, Zakhari; siblings, Billy Conner, Betty Green, Mary Beckner, Carol Atkins; many special nieces and nephews; along with special brothers-in-law, Randy Jones and Wade Tallant. Interment will follow in Salem Church Cemetery (Head of the River).⁵ He was buried at Head of the River Cemetery (also known as Salem Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery), Rt. 221, Check, Floyd Co., Virginia.⁵ He was born on September 18, 1959 at Roanoke Co., Virginia.^2,3,5 He married Sarah Lynne Jones, daughter of Truman Henry Jones and Sarah Florence Wagner, on April 15, 1995 at Roanoke, Virginia.^4,2,5 William Harley "Willie" Conner died on April 20, 2024 at Salem, Roanoke Co., Virginia, at age 64.⁵

The widow of the late Joseph M. Kingrea, she was also preceded by sons, James M. Kingrea, Douglas Earl Kingrea and Earl Eugene Kingrea. She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Robert L. Embert, Mount Airy, N.C; a brother and sister-in-law, Elmer and Helen Dillard, of Elliston, Va; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and special family and friends. The family will receive friends Thursday, June 18, 2009 from 5 until 8 p.m. at the Horne Funeral Home. The funeral service will be 2 p.m. Friday, June 19, 2009 in the Horne Funeral Chapel, conducted by Pastor Richard Kingrea, with interment in the Huffville Cemetery, Floyd County.
