Gearheart of 1702 Glenview Road, brother of Alfred Gearheart of Staunton, died Friday (Aug. 18, 1967) at his home. Other survivors include his widow, Mrs. Glencie (Woodson) Gearheart; two sons, Richard T. and Robert W. Gearheart, both of Richmond; two sisters, Mrs. Ida Flinchum and Mrs. Maudie Hubble of Salem; another brother, Ira L. Gearheart of Richmond; one granddaughter.      Gary Nelson "Hambone" Hamrick was buried at Roselawn Memorial Gardens, 2880 North Franklin Street, Christiansburg, Montgomery Co., Virginia.² He was born on January 15, 1957 at Radford, Virginia.^1,2 He married Donna Elaine Thompson, daughter of Dewey Insley Thompson and Myrtle Irene Richards, on August 5, 1975.^1,2,3 Gary Nelson "Hambone" Hamrick died on June 17, 2009 at Virginia at age 52.² He Gary Nelson (Hambone) Hamrick, 52, of Christiansburg, Va., went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, June 17, 2009, in the company of his loved ones after a long courageous battle with colon cancer. He was born in Radford, Va., on January 15, 1957, to George Nelson and Shirley Hartsock Hamrick. He was a graduate of Christiansburg High School, Class of 1975. He was employed at Volvo GM Truck Inc. for 33 years. He served in the local union 2069 for many years and most recently as a bargaining chairman. He is preceded in death by his father-in-law, Dewey I. Thompson Sr. He is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Donna Thompson Hamrick, of Christiansburg, Va; his two daughters and son-in-law, Marsha and Kelly Harvey, of Roanoke, Va., and Jessica Nicolle Hamrick, of Christiansburg, Va; his grandchildren, Hayden and Kinsley Harvey; his parents, George and Shirley Hamrick, of Christiansburg, Va; mother-in-law, Myrtle Thompson, of Christiansburg, Va; sisters and brothers-in-law, Becky Hamrick Gerald and Gary, of High Point, N.C., and Robin Hamrick Dukes and Scott, of Winston Salem, N.C; his sisters-in-law and brothers-inlaw, Dorothy and Billy Miller, of Pilot, Va., Doris and David Kirkner, of Pilot, Va., Debra and Richard Abate, of Christiansburg, Va., and Diane and Larry Duncan, of Christiansburg, Va; brothers-in-law and sister-in law, Dewey (Tommy) and Ruby Thompson, of Concord, N.C., and John (Port) Thompson, of Christiansburg, Va. Also surviving are numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, greatnephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

     Danny Lee Richards Danny Lee Richards, Jun 11, 1946 - Jan 18, 2025. Danny Richards, 78, passed away on January 18, 2025, as a result of an accident. He was preceded in death by his son, Danny Richards Jr. Danny is survived by his wife of 57 years, Carolyn, and his grandson, Dakota Richards, who was his pride and joy. Danny will be remembered as a kind, loving and hardworking man who enjoyed watching sports with his friends. Conner, 67, died early Friday morning at her home in Shawsville. She is survived by her husband , O. E. Danny Richards Jr. (alias Punkin and Little Danny), age 45 of Christiansburg, passed away on Sunday, January 11, 2015, as a result of an accident. He will be missed by his son, Kodie Richards, whom he loved with all his heart; his dad and mom, Danny and Carolyn Richards; special aunt, Blondine Brooks; uncle and aunt, John and Polly Woolwine; as well as other aunts, uncles, and special cousins who he thought of as his brothers and sisters. Danny loved all his family and was a good friend to many. Interment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Christiansburg.⁴ He was born on October 20, 1969 at Roanoke, Virginia.^3,4 He died on January 11, 2015 at Virginia at age 45.⁴

     Charles Lemuel Joyce Charles Lemuel Joyce, 56, of Fieldale, died Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2001, in Roanoke Memorial Hospital. He was born Nov. 21, 1944, in Henry County, son of the late Warford Lemuel Joyce and the late Becky Turner Joyce. He was employed by Willis Construction. Surviving are his wife, Nancy O'Dell Joyce of Ridgeway; four daughters, Lisa Ann Joyce of Charlottesville, Janet Mae Joyce of Staunton, Robin Renea Joyce of Floyd and Norma Jean Joyce of Crozet; two sons, Ricky Dean Joyce and Charles Lynwood Joyce, both of Christiansburg, one sister, Betty Jean Joyce of Axton; and nine grandchildren.
