In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Robert. Funeral services will be Sunday at 2 p.m. From the Fred B. Leavy Funeral Home with the Rev. Ronald Timblin officiating. Interment will be made in the Congress Hills Cemetery. on December 17, 1971.3

     Esther M. Cole Esther Cole Schmidt, 90, died Thursday, June 24, 2010, at her daughter's home in Northumberland. She was a former resident of Mountain Laurel Nursing Home, Clearfield and Fulmer's Personal Care Home, Lock Haven. Esther was predeceased by her first husband, Ashley Rishel and her second husband, Clifford Schmidt. Esther retired from the former Town and Country Dept. Store, Williamsport after 17 years of service. Previously she worked in real estate and for the New York Telephone in Buffalo. In Williamsport she was a travel guide for 15 years arranging bus trips for senior citizens groups in Williamsport and the surrounding area. She was also a home health aide assisting house bound elderly and disabled. Esther was a 1938 graduate of the Clearfield High School and a charter member of the Eastern Star. Born October 26, 1919 in Surveyor, Clearfield County, she was the daughter of Frank and Sadie Chatham Cole. She was the last living member of her generation of three brothers and one sister. Surviving are a daughter, Kathleen L. (Rusty) Kennedy of Northumberland; son, Rodney E. (Ellen) Rishel of Clearfield; five grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; five step grandchildren and six step great grandchildren. Esther was predeceased by a son, Dennis A. Rishel, Williamsport; brothers, Dean Cole, Smethport, Kenneth Cole, Lock Haven, Paul Cole, Buffalo; sister, Olive Cole Hauck, Smethport. Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 3, 2010 at the Tabernacle Baptist Church, 911-915 West Third Street, with Pastor Thomas Henderson officiating. No visitation. Burial will be at the convenience of the family in Twin Hills Memorial Park.2 Her Social Security Number was 176-07-5374.6 She was buried at Twin Hills Memorial Park, 3332 Lycoming Mall Road, Muncy, Lycoming Co., Pennsylvania.2,7 She married Clifford Christian "Cliff" Schmidt.4,2 Her married name was Schmidt. Cole died on May 31, 2020 at Coudersport, Potter Co., Pennsylvania, at age 90.2 She SMETHPORT - Helen A. Cole, 90, of Smethport, died Sunday (May 31, 2020) at UPMC-Cole, Coudersport, with her loving daughter, Sandra Towner, at her side. Helen was born Oct. 2, 1929, in Bradford, daughter of the late Milo W. and Rhea N. Perkins Cole. On Oct. 30, 1948, she married Dean J. Cole, an ex-Marine, who died on May 16, 1996. She was a 1947 graduate of Smethport High School and a 1948 graduate of Westbrook Commercial Academy. She also holds a graduate certificate from American Institute of Banking. Helen was a lifetime resident of the area. She retired from the banking profession where she was an officer of Smethport National Bank and Producers Bank & Trust Company. When Helen retired from banking, she was honored by the Olean Chapter American Institute of Banking with a lifetime membership for serving as a District Council member for New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania chapters. She was a member of the United Methodist Church of Smethport. She was a founder of the McKean County 4-H Rough Riders and served two generations of 4-H members. She was an active member of the American Legion Auxiliary; Bucktail Post #138 of Smethport, the Elk, Forest, Warren, McKean & Cameron County Council and Department of Pennsylvania levels. She was a member of Chapter #933 AARP for many years as an AARP tax aide and State Community Service Team for McKean County. She was an over 50 year member of Maud Rebekah Lodge #175. She was also a charter member of the McKeenest Red Hat Society. She served the ElderBerry Club of the Smethport Senior Center as supervisor of the Senior Volunteer Program. She was also a member of the Smethport Area Chamber of Commerce, serving as the coordinator of their Visitor's Center. Surviving are one daughter, Sandra Towner of Inman, S.C; four grandchildren, Tracie Towner (Scott) Byers, Jeffrey A. (Jeanette) Dunn, Jamie Dunn (Mike) McCarrell, and Kaderick (Chistrina) Towner; and 14 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dean; and one daughter, Nadine K. Dunn. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, June 4, 2020, at 11 a.m. from the Hilltop Baptist Church, Gifford, with the Rev. Max Simms, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in McKean Memorial Park, Lafayette. on June 1, 2020.2

     Sgt. William Drummond Jr. was born circa 1749 at Accomack Co., Virginia.2 He William served in the Revolutionary War in in 1775 at Accomack Co, VA. He was shown as William Drummond, a Sergeant in the Army. On 26 Jun 1781, William Drummond, lieut., was recommended in the room of (to replace) Thomas Slocomb (Acc Co Orders, 1780-83, p. 157). He was of an age to serve as a "soldier of the ninth Virginia Regiment during the Rev. War (Acc Co Orders 1809 - 1811, p. 198). in 1775 at Accomack Co., Virginia.2 He married Anne Robinson Smith, daughter of William Robinson Smith and Mary Robinson Wise, on April 14, 1786 at Accomack Co., Virginia.2 Sgt. William Drummond Jr. left a will on July 1, 1797 at Accomack Co., Virginia; He made a will on 1 July 1797 at Accomack Co, VA. In his undated will was probated 28 Aug 1797. Whole estate to wife Anne Robinson Drummond for life. My Messongo lands & mill to be sold & the money to remain in my wife's hands until her death. To son William S. Drummond my Hunting Creek land. To daughter Ann Temperance Drummond. To daughter Betsey silver spoons marked "W.D." Daughter Betsey to be in the care of Sophia Melon. To daughter Catharine Scarburgh Drummond. To son Richard Hill Drummond. At the death of my wife estate to be divided between Betsy, Nancy, Catharine & Richard Drummond. Friend Thomas Fletcher Exr.      His Social Security Number was 227-14-2176.9 Howard Ward "Bud" King Sr. was buried at Copper Hill Church of the Brethren Cemetery, 8838 Floyd Hwy N. US Hwy 221, Copper Hill, Floyd Co., Virginia.10,5,6 He Howard King owned and lived on the farm that was formerly owned by his father-in-law, Posey Angle, who married Ocie Conner. This farm has been in the family since a land grant or grants were made to John Thrus (Thrash) before the American Revolution and at least one more grant after the Revolution. There is available a copy of a land grant to John Thrus (Thrash) signed by James Monroe, Governor of Virginia 1799-1809. A colonial style, brick-cased home was built by Valentine Thrus (Thrash), son of John Thrash. An addition to the house was built by Valentine Conner, a grandson of Valentine Thrash. Eloise Angle King lived in the grand old home, the fifth generation from Valentine Thrash. Her sons, Chip and Will Roger, cultivate the same land as did their great-great-great grandfather Valentine Thrash, who is buried in a family cemetery on the property. A high point on the farm is known as Thrash's Mountain. The state road, which partially divides the farm property, is known as King Brothers Road. He was born on July 16, 1908 at Floyd Co., Virginia.1,9,10,2,6 He married Eloise Hope Angle, daughter of Posey Lee Angle and Ocie Louise/Lois Conner, on October 20, 1932 at Floyd Co., Virginia.1,2,11 Howard Ward "Bud" King Sr. died on December 16, 1981 at Roanoke, Virginia, at age 73.1,10,5,6 He COPPER HILL -- Howard Ward King, age 73, of Route 2, Copper Hill, died Wednesday, December 16, 1981, in a Roanoke hospital. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Eloise H. King; three sons, Carson L. King, Bent Mountain, Howard W. King, Jr., Copper Hill, Will R. King, Bent Mountain; a brother, Morgan King, Bent Mountain; three sisters, Mrs. Louise Sink, Bent Mountain, Mrs. Pauline Bowman, Callaway, and Mrs. Ercil Wickham, Shawsville; six grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted at Copper Hill Church of the Brethren Friday, December 18, with Reverend Paris E. Bain and Reverend Frank H. Wimmer officiating. Interment in Copper Hill Church of the Brethren Cemetery. on December 24, 1981.5
