     Virgil Dewey "Dee Cee" Cochran III was buried at Clayton Baptist Cemetery, Clayton, Summers Co., West Virginia.² He Virgil Dewey "Dee Cee" Cochran III, 25, of Clayton died Sunday, September 20, 2009 at the Greenbrier Valley Medical Center. Born June 28, 1984 in Mercer Co. he was a son of Victoria Smith Kesler and her husband John David of Clayton and Jimmy Ray Wheeler and companion Jennie Ward of Riverside Rest. Dee Cee was a member of the Pence Springs Community Church, employed by P.J. Casanave Land Clearing Co. and enjoyed hunting, fishing and family gatherings. Preceding him in death is his grandmother Shirley Ruth Keffer Wheeler and uncles Ernest Lee Smith and William Pete Wheeler. Besides his parents, those left to cherish his memory include his grandparents; Wilford Elliott and Claudia Ailene Blevins Smith and John Walter and Jane Ellen Wiseman Kesler; one sister, Shenandoah Ailene DeShazer and husband Jeffrey of TX and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Born December 31, 1967 at Cleveland, Ohio, she was a daughter of the late Woodrow E. "Woody" and Blanche L. Hightower Martin. Marlene was a homemaker. She attended the Church of the Living God at Madams Creek. She enjoyed collecting crystal figurines, bears & jewelry, cooking and spending time with her friends and family. She was preceded in death by one brother Darrell Hicks. Those left to cherish her memory include: two sons, Patrick Maurice "P.J." Garrett of Talcott and Dalton Elijah Lee Smith of Talcott; two sisters, Darlene Mardinia and husband Charlie of Mesa, Arizona and Aldona Reese of Talcott; one brother, Norman Martin and wife Jeanie of Cleveland, Ohio; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Coleman's electricity was shut off two weeks ago because of non-payment of bills, Laton added. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Lillian Coleman; two sisters, Mrs. Marjorie Smith, of Beards Fork, and Miss Lena Coleman, of Dothan; a brother, Lester, of Dothan; two sons, Curtis and Melvin; and two daughters, Lydia and Rita, all at home. on August 28, 1951.³

Winston was preceded in death by his parents, Margie Painter Smith and Shelvon Smith, and his sister, Sharon Chaanine. He is survived by his wife, Shirley Ann Tyree-Smith; his daughters, Kelly Lynn Oliva, Ormond Beach, Leigh Ann Crist, Pliny, W.Va., and Amy Jo Sauter, Ormond Beach; his sister, Gail Knox, Powhatan, Va; and also his grandchildren, Larry Jr., Joseph, Linda, Sara, Jacqueline, Riley, Laura and Leann. on April 22, 2006.⁵
