He has 16 great-grandchildren. Harold had a very close relationship with his brother and sister-in-law, Daniel and Ogretta Bayer. Viewing at Lotz Salem Chapel will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, November 7, 2007. The funeral will take place at the Lotz Salem Chapel at 1 p.m. on Thursday, November 8, 2007 officiated by Pastor Jack Lowe. After a graveside service at Cedar Lawn Memorial Park, family and friends are invited to Peters Creek Church of the Brethren for a remembrance buffet. A veteran of World War II, he served in the European Theatre. Surviving are: wife, Mrs. Vivian Dewease; son, Wayne Herman, at home; brothers, Douglas, Waynesboro, Route 2; Stuart Dewease, Waynesboro; Carl Dewease, Smithsburg Route 3; Lenwood Dewease, Smithsburg; Lloyd Dewease, Williamsport Rt. 1; and Freddie Dewease, Waynesboro; sisters, Mrs. Katherine Cordell, Mrs. Joann Carron and Miss Janet Dewease, all of Waynesboro. Funeral services will be held Monday morning at 10 o'clock at St. Augustine Catholic Church Williamsport, with the Rev. Father Thomas Hardesty officiating. Interment in Greenlawn Cemetery, Williamsport. The family will meet friends at the Leaf Funeral Home, Williamsport, Sunday evening from 7-9 and will meet for the saying of the rosary on Sunday at 8 p.m. on August 16, 1958.8

Dewease, 31, died of a sudden heart attack while at work Monday morning at the Funkhouser Company plant at Greenstone, Adams County. He was a resident of Fairfield, Route 1. Mr. Dewease was born in Glenvar, Va., a son of Monza and Pearl (Wells) Dewease. He lived at Quincy and Waynesboro, Route 2, before moving to the Fairfield area four years ago. Surviving are his mother, of Waynesboro; his wife, Mrs. Cleo (Marshall) Dewease; four daughters, Susan, Patricia, Emma Jane, and Diana Kay, all at home; seven brothers, Herman L. Dewease, of Williamsport; Carl and Linwood, both of Smithsburg, Route 2; Douglas, of Waynesboro, Route 2; Lloyd, who is serving with the U. S. Army in Newfoundland, and Stewart and Frederick Dewease, both of Waynesboro; and three sisters, Mrs. J. E. Cordell, Mrs. Joseph Caron, and Miss Janet Dewease, all of Waynesboro. Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at two o'clock at the Grove Funeral Home, Waynesboro, with Rev. H. F. Coffelt officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery. Friends may call Wednesday evening from seven to nine o'clock at the funeral home. on April 10, 1957.4

She was a homemaker. She was a member of Grace Brethren Church in Waynesboro, Pa., where she was a member of King's Daughters Sunday School class and Keenagers. She is survived by seven sons, John M. Cordell, Garry R. Cordell and Daniel L. Cordell, all of Greencastle, Larry J. Cordell of McConnellsburg, Pa., Stephen M. Cordell of Hagerstown, Timothy E. Cordell of Clear Spring, and James A. Cordell of Chambersburg, Pa; one daughter, Bonnie M. Yoder of Greencastle; two brothers, Stuart Dewease of Waynesboro, and Frederick Dewease of Florida; two sisters, JoAnn Caron of Burlington, N.C., and Janet Stone of Hagerstown; 21 grandchildren; five stepgrandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two stepgreat-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by six brothers, Douglas Dewease, Stanley Dewease, Lance Dewease, Lenwood Dewease, Lloyd Dewease and Carl Dewease; an infant sister; an infant granddaughter; and two infant great-grandchildren. Services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Grace Brethren Church, Waynesboro. The Rev. Roger K. Myers will officiate. Burial will be in Parklawns Memorial Gardens, Chambersburg. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6 to 9 p.m. at Harold M. Zimmerman and Son Funeral Home, Greencastle, and at the church one hour prior to the services on Wednesday. The family will receive friends 6 to 9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Arrangements are being handled by Lotz Funeral Home, Salem. on June 30, 2003.2
