She was born May 5, 1910, in Olustee, Okla., daughter of the late William Carl and Zeda Wheeler Setliff. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Leonard W. Altice; son, William Marshall Caudell; and a number of siblings. Mrs. Altice was a retired self employed beautician with over 70 years of service to her clients. She was a member of New Covenant Christian Church, enjoyed gardening and loved her family and friends. She is survived by her son, Teddy Glen Caudell; granddaughter, Rhonda Kay Kiser; great-grandchildren, Jessica Kiser and Richard Kiser; great-great-granddaughter, Leah Kiser; brother, Jewett Setliff; sister, Linda Setliff; and daughter-in-law, Wanda Whitfield Fogel Caudell. Graveside services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, January , 26, 2011, at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Roanoke with the Rev. George Edwards officiating. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at the John M. Oakey and Son Funeral Home, Salem, Va. Jr., 75, of Linwood, Calif., died Monday, December 21, 1992. Born in Bluefield, W.Va. on November 29, 1917, and raised in Roanoke, he was the son of the late Frank and Elizabeth Looney, both of Roanoke. After serving as a second lieutenant in the army during WWII, he moved to Southern California, where he worked for the LA Transit Authority, and was an active member of the Moose Lodge. He is survived by is wife, Eloise Looney, South Gate, Calif; a son, Larry Scott; and two granddaughters, Traci Walters and Terri Scott, all of Roanoke; a sister, Alleta Jo Nash, Roanoke; an aunt, Mrs. Katherine Bell, Bluefield, W.Va; nieces and nephews, Shirley Foutz and Dan Starkey, both of Vinton, Jack Starkey, LaHabra, Calif., Martha Lorenz, Villa Hills, Ky; David Looney, Groton, Conn., Teresa Nash Sentelle, Charlotte, N.C., Buddy Nash, Vallejo, Calif., and Ralph Nash, Roanoke; and several great-nieces and nephews.
