She was born May 5, 1910, in Olustee, Okla., daughter of the late William Carl and Zeda Wheeler Setliff. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Leonard W. Altice; son, William Marshall Caudell; and a number of siblings. Mrs. Altice was a retired self employed beautician with over 70 years of service to her clients. She was a member of New Covenant Christian Church, enjoyed gardening and loved her family and friends. She is survived by her son, Teddy Glen Caudell; granddaughter, Rhonda Kay Kiser; great-grandchildren, Jessica Kiser and Richard Kiser; great-great-granddaughter, Leah Kiser; brother, Jewett Setliff; sister, Linda Setliff; and daughter-in-law, Wanda Whitfield Fogel Caudell. Graveside services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, January , 26, 2011, at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Roanoke with the Rev. George Edwards officiating. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at the John M. Oakey and Son Funeral Home, Salem, Va. The family would like to thank the Friendship Manor Palliative Staff on the 1st floor for all of their loving care and a special thank you to Mrs. Altice's personal friend and caregiver, Mary Jo Knight. on January 25, 2011.1
