Holly Springs Road. The accident happened about a mile west of Boiling Springs, State police reported. Curtis Lynn Coleman, of the Fetrow Apartments, Third Street, Boiling Springs, was dead on arrival of an ambulance at the Carlisle Hospital at 11:22 p.m. Coroner E. A. Haegele said death was due to a fractured skull. Police reported Coleman was traveling west on the Boiling Springs - Mt. Holly Springs Road when he lost control of the car. The car veered off the road and struck an embankment and then careened to the other side of the highway. Both Coleman and Hoffman were thrown out of the vehicle. Coleman was born on Mar. 3. 1941, at Dothan, W. Va., the son of Mrs. Lillian Smith Coleman, Boiling Springs, and the late Traville H. Coleman. He was employed at the Dillsburg plant of the Gettysburg Shoe Company. In addition to his mother, he is survived by a brother, Melvin; and Miss Rita Coleman, all at home, and his maternal grandmother, Mrs. Gretchen Smith, Dothan. on June 24, 1963.²

Surviving, along with her husband, are a son, Fredie Smith, Tulsa, Okla., two brothers, Ambrose Good, Dixie, W.V; George Good, Akron, Ohio; a sister, Mrs. Lena Rice, Akron, Ohio; and two grandchildren. on January 15, 1980.⁴

     Opal Evelyn Gray was buried at Coleman Cemetery (Deepwater), Lick Fork, Fayette Co., West Virginia.^2,3 Her married name was Smith.¹ She married Edgar Ray Smith, son of Albert Sidney Smith and Gretchen Clara Bragg.^1,3 Opal Evelyn Gray was born on October 4, 1923 at Carlisle, Fayette Co., West Virginia.^2,3 She died on July 10, 1954 at Bluefield, Mercer Co., West Virginia, at age 30.² She Funeral services for Mrs. Opal Evelyn Smith, 31, Whipple, will be conducted Monday. Burial will the in the Coleman Cemetery at Lick Fork. Mrs. Smith died Friday at 11:30 p.m. in the Bluefield Sanitarium after a nine-week illness. She was born at Carlisle Oct. 4, 1923. Surviving are her husband, Edgar R. Smith, Whipple; her mother, Mrs. Mildred Gray, Whipple; two sisters, Mrs. Alma Bava, Charleston, and Mrs. Macy Stover, Minden; four brothers, William Thomas Gray, Carlisle; Paul Gray and Tracy Gray, Whipple; and Marvin Gray, Minden. on July 11, 1954.³

Lodmell, 78, of Moundsville, WV, died October 16, 2014 in Liza's Place. She was born on May 24, 1936 in Greenbrier County, WV, a daughter of the late Jessie W. and Ruth Canfield Hicks. Hazel worked as a Registered Nurse for 52 years and retired from Heartland-Lansing Nursing Home. She was a member of the Moundsville Baptist Church and a tribal Member of the Appalachian American Indians of WV. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Russell C. Lodmell. She is survived by five children, William Stone of Meadow Bridge, WV; Linda John Skrypek of Moundsville; Teresa Gill Tim Heaton of Wheeling, WV; Sandra Tony Eddy of Glen Dale, WV; Carla Terry Whitlatch of Moundsville; many grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. Interment in Halcyon Hills Memorial Gardens.² Her married name was Smith.¹ She married Rev.      Sandra Leigh Smith Sandra Leigh Eddy, “Sandy”, 51, of Glen Dale, W.Va., passed away Tuesday, June 16, 2015, in Reynolds Memorial Hospital, Glen Dale. Sandy was born August 21, 1963, in Beckley, W.Va. She was the owner & operator of Eddy Contracting, Glen Dale; a member of the Appalachian American Indians of West Virginia; and a 1995 graduate of W.V. Northern Community College. She also a proud member of the Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society at Northern, having received the second highest G.P.A. of her graduating class. Sandy was preceded in death by her parents, Russell and Hazel (Hicks) Lodmell. She is survived by her husband of 19 years, Anthony Eddy; a daughter, Andrea Eddy; a son, Anthony Eddy, Jr. (Amanda) of Follansbee, W.Va; a brother, William Stone of Meadow Bridge, W.Va; three sisters, Linda Skrypek (John) of Moundsville; Teresa Gill (Tim Heaton) of Wheeling and Carla Whitlatch (Terry) of Moundsville; and numerous nieces and nephews.² Her married name was Buchner.⁴ She married Unknown Buchner.^1,4 Sandra Leigh Smith was born on August 21, 1963 at Beckley, Raleigh Co., West Virginia.² As of February 14, 1997,her married name was Eddy.⁴ She married Anthony W.
