Bonnie was born at Roanoke Memorial to James and Denise Chittum on September 28, 1960. She attended Stonewall Jackson High School where she played soccer. She was married in 1987 to Warren Conner and they had three wonderful children with Anna Conner being the oldest, and twin boys, Jaren Montana and James Montana. She loved her animals. Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents, James and Denise Chittum; niece, Katherine McClure Armstrong; and good friend, Betty Goad. She is survived by her husband and end of life caretaker, Warren Conner; daughter, Anna Conner; sons, Jared Montana, James Montana; sister, Yvonne McClure (Joe); brother, James Lynwood Chittum; best friend, Carrie Leaver; grandchildren, Aydynne Sweeney, Lucius Warren Conner, and Janis Jade Beadles. Conner; two brothers, Frank Walters and Edgar Walters; and two sisters, Reecie Lancaster and Monie Damewood. Left to cherish her memory forever are a very special great-niece and caregiver, Renee Brown and husband, Russ Brown; nieces, Shelby Rexrode and husband, Rex, and Janice Cooper and husband, Howard; nephews, Fred Damewood, and Buddy Lancaster and wife, Sandra; brother-in-law, Garland Conner; sisters-in-law, Doris Conner and Wilmoth Clark. Also surviving are numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. The family would like to extend a special thank you and sincere appreciation to Gentle Shepard Hospice, especially Marcia Troyer, for her loving care. The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 7, 2012, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lotz Funeral Home, Salem.
