For years he and his wife, Barb, enjoyed riding their Gold Wing Motorcycles. He enjoyed going to Riverview Park to watch the eagles and trains. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and nieces and nephews. He is survived by his wife, Barbara Knox, of Fort Madison, Iowa; one son, John Jr. (wife Kelly) Knox, Denmark, Iowa; one daughter, Julie (husband Jeff) Atkins, of Wilton, Iowa; two sisters: Wilma (husband Don) Flander, of What Cheer, Iowa and Connie Knox, of Fort Madison, Iowa; five grandchildren: Zach, Caleb, Ethan, Emma, and Josh; nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, parents, and two daughters, Annalisa Knox and Kari Knox. Burial at Fairview Cemetery, rural Fort Madison, Iowa.

She worked for the State Human Services Office in Oskaloosa. She played the organ for the Baptist Church in What Cheer and was a Pythian Sister. She had been very active in 4-H as a leader and advisor. Those left to mourn her passing are her husband, Harry; her children Jeffery, Sharlene and Sharon and their spouses, Cathie Landers, Tony Bos and Don Cline; three grandchildren, Jill and Joseph Cline and Katy Landers; her parents, Lynn and Helen Herrick of Delta; two brothers, Gilbert Herrick, Jr., of Oskaloosa; Dean Herrick of Mt. Hart married James A. Long on October 3, 1897 at Putnam Co., Indiana.6 As of September 13, 1907,her married name was Williams.6 Lydia A. Hart married Frank Williams on September 13, 1907 at Montgomery Co., Indiana.6 Lydia A. Hart died on June 29, 1930 at Montgomery Co., Indiana, at age 69.2 She Mrs. Lydia Williams, formerly of Browns Valley, died at the home of her son, Dalton Conner, south of Crawfordsville, Sunday Morning. Her maiden name was Hart and she was born near Russellville, March 16, 1861. She was three times married and is survived by two sons, Dalton and Oliver Connor. Funeral services were held at the Russellville Christian Church yesterday morning with the Rev. A.M. McGaughey of Veedersburg in charge. on July 4, 1930.2
