Ogram, 97, of Omaha, formerly of Fremont, died Monday night at Bergan Mercy Hospital in Omaha. He was the founder of Union Freightways Co. and the retired president of the Henry C. Ogram Co., which builds truck terminals and warehouses. He was born Aug. 28, 1888, in Palmyra. He started a horse-drawn drayage firm in Fremont in 1909. In 1913, he introduced the first motor truck to Nebraska. He lved in Fremont until 1930, when he founded Union Freightways and moved the company to Omaha. His firm grew to an 800-truck operation. In 1959, he sold the business to Pacific Intermountain Express. Mr. Ogram was active in the Boys Clubs of Omaha. He was married to Mary Palmer. She survives. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Omaha. on April 16, 1986.3

     William Palentyre Brown was buried at Greenwood Cemetery, 1814 Lucas Street, Muscatine, Muscatine Co., Iowa.2,3 He was born on January 27, 1859 at Downey, Cedar Co., Iowa.4,5,3 He married Martha Jane "Mattie" Fear, daughter of James Harvey Fear and Louisa Conner, on March 7, 1894 at Sigourney, Keokuk Co., Iowa.6,5,7 William Palentyre Brown died on February 22, 1934 at Muscatine, Muscatine Co., Iowa, at age 75.5,3 He William P. Brown, 75, city weighmaster for the past 19 years, died at his home, 1133 Lucas street, at 7:25 a.m. today. Mr. Brown retired last December because of poor health but had been bedfast for only the past few days. He was born at Downey, Ia., Jan. 27, 1859, but had made his home here for the past 29 years. He married Miss Mattie Fear on March 7, 1894, at Sigourney. Mr. Brown was a member of the First Baptist church. Surviving are the widow; two daughters, Miss Ruby Brown, at home, and Mrs. Francis Orr, Muscatine; one sister, Mrs. Sarah Swalley, Mt. Pleasant; one brother, George Brown, Conesville; two grandchildren, Wayne and Evelyn Orr, Muscatine. The body is at the Ralph J. Wittich Funeral home, 216 West Third street, but will be returned to the residence later today. Funeral arrangements are indefinite. on February 22, 1934.5

Morse died on February 23, 1956 at Delta, Keokuk Co., Iowa, at age 78.4,5 She DELTA - Mrs. Jennie Fear, 78, died shortly before noon Thursday at her home in Delta following a heart attack. She was born May 25, 1877, in Missouri. She was the foster daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Asa Jones of Green City. Mo. She was married April 18, 1896 (should be 1906), at Green City to Dr. Milo F. Fear, a dentist, who survives. Their early married life was spent in Missouri. They lived in Sigourney before moving to Delta about 20 years ago. She was a member of the Christian church at Green City. Surviving are two sons, Luther Fear of Ottumwa and Arthur Fear of Chicago; a daughter, Mrs. Lucille Phillips of Ottumwa, and five grandchildren. A daughter, Mrs. Mary Knox preceded her in death. on February 24, 1956.5

He was preceded in death by a stepgrandson and a sister, Mary Knox. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Fairfield. Pallbearers will be John and John Jr. Knox, Dan Flanderr, William Graves III, Harvey Marshall and Roger Scales. on September 23, 1996.2

Mr. Fear was a dedicated member for over 50 years of St. Andrew Presbyterian Church, Chicago. Memorial service will be held at a later date. Scott & Hebblethwaite Funeral Home, 847-998-1020. on February 15, 2004.12 He Clarence Arthur Fear, 93, of Chicago, Ill., formerly of Sigourney, died Thurs., Feb. 12, 2004, at the Presbyterian Home in Evanston, Ill. He was born Sept. 4, 1910, in Green City, Mo., the son of Dr. Milo (DDS) and Jennie Morse Fear. He grew up in Sigourney and graduated from Sigourney High School. In high school he played the trombone in the Sigourney Marching Band performing for dignitaries coming to town. He joined the 113th Cavalry of Iowa's National Guard in 1928 and when discharged was a Technical Sargeant. In the 1940's he moved to Chicago to work in a silkscreen and embossing business. He married Katherine Russell on Oct. 1, 1946. He was a longtime member, decon, elder and 15 yr. Clerk of Session of St. Andrew Presbyterian Church. He taught the junior high confirmation classes, was a member of the choir and taught in church school at St. Andrew's. He was chairman of the Spiritual Life Committee of Geneva Place Presbyterian Home. He is survived by his wife; two daughters, Ann McManus of St. Charles, Ill., and Ellen Gooday of Crest Hill, Ill; two sons, Russell of Santa Monica, Calif. and Perry of St. Charles, Ill; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a niece, Wilma Flander of What Cheer; and a nephew, John Knox of Fort Madison. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, John; a son-in-law, Norman McManus; a granddaughter, Melissa Gooday; a brother, Luther; a sister, Lucile Phillips of Ottumwa; and a niece, Mary Phillips of Ottumwa. The body has been cremated. A memorial service was held Sun., March 7 at St. Andrews Presbyterian Church in Chicago with the Rev. Deborah L. Paton officating. Hebblethwait Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements. on March 17, 2004.2
