After a few years, he returned to serving with the Rescue Squad and retired as a supervisor. He served as an volunteer for the East River Volunteer Fire Department for many years.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Donald Ray, Douglas Hall; and his brother-in-law, Roger Perdue. He leaves behind his loving daughter, Andrea Jacqueline Harvey; sisters, Mary Lee Hill and husband Bob, Lillie D. Lawrence and husband Bill, Alice G. Perdue Shires and husband Sam; numerous nieces and nephews; and his faithful companion, Lucky. Burial will be in the Hall Family Cemetery on the Halls Ridge Road in Princeton. on January 15, 2010.2

Judith Ann Barbour Judith Ann Hall was born in Bethesda, Maryland on October 11, 1944 to the late B.T. and Mary Barbour. She died at her home in Princeton, WV surrounded by the family that she loved on Tuesday, April 13, 2021. Judy was married to the late Donald Ray Hall, with whom she had three children, and by whom she was preceded in death. She was also preceded in death by her daughter April Yvonne Hall, who died in infancy; and by her brother John Barbour who died last year. Judy is survived by her sons, John Hall and Justin Hall and wife Melissa both of Atkins, VA; granddaughter Ashley Brown of Savannah, GA; and grandsons Jack, Wyatt and Cooper Hall of Atkins, Virginia; sisters, Juanita Davis, and Sarah Ball both of Princeton; sister-in-law Debra Barbour of Lashmeet; and several nieces and nephews. Judy was a member of the Maranatha Baptist Church in Princeton and more importantly she was a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ. Judy accepted Jesus Christ as her Saviour by faith when she was in her early 30’s and she loved Him and lived for Him until the day that she died. Today our family takes comfort in knowing that she is in the presence of the Lord in Heaven. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton, pallbearers will be Jack Hall, Wyatt Hall, Caleb Akers, Ben Tickle, Bobby Barbour, and Aaron Akers.2 She was buried at Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Courthouse Road, Princeton, Mercer Co., West Virginia.2 She was born on October 11, 1944 at Bethesda, Montgomery Co., Maryland.1,2 As of October 21, 1970,her married name was Hall.1 She married Donald Ray Hall, son of Dorothy Frances Hall, on October 21, 1970 at Narrows, Giles Co., Virginia.1,4,2,3 Judith Ann Barbour died on April 13, 2021 at Princeton, Mercer Co., West Virginia, at age 76.2

He was particularly gifted in dry wall and was a licensed contractor in Virginia and West Virginia. He was a loving husband, father, and a friend to many. He will be greatly missed by everyone. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife of 40 years, Alice Hall Perdue; two daughters and their husbands, Melissa and Ronnie Conley of Narrows, and Shandra and Brian Stanley of Pulaski, Va; five grandchildren, Shaina and Tyler Conley, both of Narrows, and Brenna, Noah, and Nathaniel Stanley, all of Pulaski; two brothers, Grant Perdue of Bozoo, and Randall and wife Bobbie Perdue of Narrows; two sisters and their husbands, Oneeda and C.F. Perdue, and Barbara and Claude Weatherly, both of Narrows; two special nephews, Claude Jr. and Danny Weatherly, both of Narrows. Burial will follow at the Hall Family Cemetery, Princeton, with graveside rites conducted by American Legion Post 68 of Narrows, VFW Post 600 of Narrows and American Legion Post 311 of Pembroke, Va. on May 15, 2006.3

James O. "Jim" Burdette James (Jim) O. Burdette, 82, of Evansville, IN passed away surrounded by his loving family on October 28, 2023. Jim was born on March 2, 1941, in Franklin, Tennessee to the late Carmack and Gladys (Mealer) Burdette. Jim, the youngest of five children, was educated in Leipers Fork, Tennessee at Hillsboro School and graduated in 1959. As a young adult he enjoyed working on and racing cars, and even held a 1962 NASCAR card. He was then drafted into the U.S. Army on November 2, 1963, and was stationed in Berlin, Germany for two years during the Berlin Crisis. He received an Expert (Rifle M-14) Army of Occupation Medal and Good Conduct Medal. He was honorably discharged on November 11, 1965. After returning home he met and married his wife of 57 years, Susie Ann Hall on September 24, 1966. They had two children, Jeffery and Angela, four grandchildren, and one great grandchild. Over the span of his career, he worked at General Instrument in Tazewell, VA and General Electric in Columbia, TN, both the management positions. He relocated his family to Evansville to accept a position at Wabash Plastics where he worked for 20 years as production manager and retired in 2000. After retirement he enjoyed playing golf and traveling to Florida. Jim is survived by his wife of 57 years and his daughter Angela (Jeff) Price; his grandchildren Olivia Wing (Adam), Owen Price, Lillian Price, Lukas Price, and great grandchild Everleigh Wing; his siblings, Judy Mabry, Max (Doris) Burdette, Betty Jackson; and many extended family members and friends. In addition to his parents, Jim was proceeded in death by his son, Jeffery Allen Burdette, and his sister, Marie Hogan; his brothers in law, Jay Hogan, Rick Jackson, and Bill Mabry; his sister-in-law, Lea Burdette; and his nephew, Ted Burdette.1 He was buried at Sunset Memorial Gardens, Evansville, Vanderburgh Co., Illinois.2 He was born on March 2, 1941 at Franklin, Williamson Co., Tennessee.1 He married Susie Ann Hall, daughter of Vonibell Lillian Hall, on September 24, 1966.1 James O. Medical authorities said it would be a few days before the exact type of meningitis would be known, but did not believe there is any danger of an outbreak of the disease. Precautions have been taken with the family and other contacts to prevent other cases, it was explained. The boy was born in Princeton May 25, 1964. In addition to his parents, he is survived by one brother, Stephen Crowe of the home; maternal grandfather, Wallace Shelton of England; paternal grandmother, Mrs. Letha Farley of Princeton. on October 18, 1966.4
