Perkins, 80, who had lived in and around Marshalltown since 1909, died at 1:20 a.m. Saturday at a Toledo nursing home where he had was taken a week ago. He had been ill six years and had been hospitalized here part of that time. Mr. Perkins was born at Luana May 22, 1893, son of James and Udora Perkins. He came here from Waterloo. Surviving are three sons and four daughters; Harry F. and Leo Perkins and Mrs. Homer Kent, Marshalltown; Johnnie, Luana; Mrs. Betty Pope, Savannah, Ga; Mrs. Florence Wilkinson and Mrs. Jane Wallace, Long Beach Calif; two brothers and a sister, Mrs. Julia Bailey, Clarence Shively and William Perkins, all of Marshalltown, and 15 grandchildren. Services are being arranged at the Pursel Funeral home. Burial will be in the Iowa River Cemetery. on March 13, 1954.2 He died on March 13, 1954 at Toledo, Tama Co., Iowa, at age 80.2

Following cremation rites, graveside memorial services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday, at the Elmwood Cemetery at LaMoille. There will be no visitation. Born on March 15, 1933, in Marshalltown, he was the son of Ida May Strong. He received his education in the Marshalltown Schools and served our country honorably in the United States Navy in the Korean War. While in service, he was injured during a torpedo attack and was recipient of the Purple Heart. On Jan. 18th, 1955, he was united in marriage to Anna Mae Moore in Marshalltown. They made Marshalltown their home where he was employed at Lennox Industries and did painting- on homes, businesses and municipal buildings including the catholic churches. Marvin treasured his family and was an active member of the UAW Local #893, the Moose Lodge, The Eagles Lodge of Tama and enjoyed old country music, dancing, watching birds, his German Shepards, playing cards (cribbage and pepper) and painting. He will be greatly missed by many. Left to cherish his memory are his children: Rod (Renae), Randy (Sandy), and Joe Danner all of Marshalltown, Melissa Danner of Jewell, 17 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, his sisters Opal Cooper, Marie Smiley and Mary Atwood and many friends. In death he rejoined his beloved Anna Mae, his parents and two sons- Marvin Edward, Jr. "Ed" and Doug. on January 2, 2011.1

Randy Lee Danner Sr. Randy Lee Danner Sr., 59, went to be with his Heavenly Father, on Monday, May 6, 2019 in the comfort of his own home surrounded by his loving family. Following Randy’s wishes, cremation rites have been accorded and there will be no public services held at this time through Mitchell Family Funeral Home. Randy Lee Danner Sr. was born on March 12, 1960 in Marshalltown, Iowa, the son Marvin Edward Sr. and Anna May (Moore) Danner. He was raised and educated in the Marshalltown School District, where he graduated from Marshalltown High School. On July 10, 2006, Randy was united in marriage to his soulmate and best friend, Sandy (Slifer). From this union Randy and Sandy’s family grew even bigger with children, grandchildren and so much happiness and love. Randy and his twin brother, Rodney owned and operated their own painting business before Randy had to finally stop that and start on disability. He was such a strong follower of Jesus Christ and was so passionate about attending churches. Most recently Randy was a member of the Great Commission Church. He loved life and knew all of his blessings were from God. Randy loved sharing the word of God, spending time with his family and friends, watching wrestling, football, martial arts animals, listening to music and all types of art. He was also very gifted musically and enjoyed playing the drums, his guitar and singing from the time he was a in garage bands to playing in church. Left to cherish his life is his loving spouse, Sandy Danner; children; Randy Lee Danner Jr., Rene’ Lynn (Shaun Kudelka) Danner, Michelle and Kindra Dawn; grandchildren: Jazlyn Rose Kudelka, Evony Irene Kudelka, Zack, Kayla, Kristopher and Elaina; twin brother: Rodney Danner and other siblings: Joe Danner, Melissa Danner and Linda Erickson; 15 nieces and nephews; as well as his beloved fur babies: Sweet-Pee, Fusulus, Aqua and Lil-bit “Jen-Jen” along with his three fish. He is preceded in death by his parents, two siblings and both maternal and paternal grandparents.3 He was born on March 12, 1960 at Marshalltown, Marshall Co., Iowa.3 He married Sandy Slifer on July 10, 2006.3 Randy Lee Danner Sr. died on May 6, 2019 at Marshall Co., Iowa, at age 59.3

Donna will be laid to rest in Rose Hill Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made in Donna's name to Iowa River Hospice. Born Donna Pearl Kent, in southern Iowa on Jan. 29, 1931, she was the daughter of Mae Kent. Donna was raised in Marshalltown and graduated from Marshalltown High School in 1949. On Oct. 15, 1950, she was united in marriage to Frederick Stewart in Marshalltown. The couple made their home in Clemons, where they raised their family. Donna worked at S.S. Kresge 5 & 10 during high school and until beginning her family, when she then became a homemaker. After raising their children, Donna and Frederick moved to Marshalltown. Donna was a member of Clemons United Church of Christ, where she taught Sunday School, until moving to Marshalltown. She adored teddy bears, having a collection of several hundred. Donna also gave many years of generous volunteer work to Iowa River Hospice. Left to cherish Donna's memory is her loving husband, Frederick; her daughter, Mary Lou Stewart of Marshalltown; her sons, John (Gloria) Stewart of Marshalltown and Michael Stewart of Marshalltown; her grandsons, Brent (Liz) and Brady (Laura) Stewart; four great-grandchildren; her sister, Marie Smiley; and her brother, Marvin Danner; as well as many friends. In death, Donna has rejoined her mother, Mae. on February 5, 2009.1

Frederick John Stewart Frederick John Stewart, 86, formerly of Clemons, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2012 at Villa del Sol in Marshalltown, following a courageous battle with cancer. Visitation will be prior to services on Friday, Nov. 9, from 1:00-2:30 p.m. at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home with services Friday at 2:30 pm. Burial will follow at the Rose Hill Cemetery Memorial Gardens. Frederick was born on August 13, 1926 to Fred M. and Fern Spence Stewart of Clemons. He graduated from Clemons Consolidated School in 1945. On Oct. 15, 1950 he married Donna Kent. They lived in Marshalltown and Albion before settling in Clemons to raise their family. Frederick worked many years for the Clemons gravel pit, and in 1966 he began working at Fisher Controls until his retirement in 1988. He enjoyed woodworking and fishing, and was always ready to help with his familys home repair projects. Frederick and Donna moved to West South Street in Marshalltown in 1974. Together they enjoyed camping, traveling, and volunteering for the Iowa River Hospice garage sales. Following his beloved Donnas death in 2009, Frederick enjoyed spending time with new friends at the Senior Center, and dancing whenever and wherever a band was playing, up to the last two months of his illness. Survivors include three children: Mary Lou Stewart, John (Gloria) Stewart, and Michael Stewart, all of Marshalltown; two grandchildren: Brent (Liz) Stewart of Gilbert, and Brady (Laura) Stewart of Huxley; five great grandchildren: Paige and Calvin Stewart of Gilbert, and Payton, Bailey, and Graham Stewart of Huxley; two sisters: Faye Carlson of CA, and Fernette Smith of Marshalltown; sister-in-law Marie Smiley of Utah, and very special friend, Helen Stover of Marshalltown; and many nieces and nephews.Preceding him in death were his parents; wife, Donna; and sisters Frances Nichols, Forestine Whitmore, and Farol Otto.3 He was buried at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Marshalltown, Marshall Co., Iowa.3,4 He was born on August 13, 1926 at Clemons, Marshall Co., Iowa.2,4,3 He married Donna Pearl Kent, daughter of George William Howard Kent and Mae Ida Danner, on October 15, 1950 at Marshalltown, Marshall Co., Iowa.1,3 Frederick John Stewart died on November 6, 2012 at Marshalltown, Marshall Co., Iowa, at age 86.3,4
