     Billy Ray Noble Billy Ray Noble, 74, of Green Acres Loop, Princeton, died on Saturday, April 5, 2014 at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital in Roanoake, VA. He was born in Princeton on May 15, 1939 he was the son of the late Kenna D. Noble, Sr. and Clara Carter Noble. He was shop foreman for Princeton Armature and retired from SEMCO in Narrows. He was a veteran of the Army National Guard and attended Maranatha Baptist Church on the Oakvale Road in Princeton. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two infant daughters, one grandson, Joseph Huffman, one brother, Kenna D. (Junior) Noble and one sister, Helen Abshire. He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Betty Radford Noble; Two daughters, Teresa Huffman and Laura Lee Stanley & her husband John both of Princeton; One granddaughter, Sara Sandridge and her companion Jason Bailey; Three great-grandchildren, Liam Sandridge, Brady Bailey & Natalie Bailey; One sister, Charlotte Mills of Princeton; One brother, Daniel Noble of Princeton; A host of nieces, nephews & cousins along with his four-legged friends, Brandy and Mattie. Funeral services will be at held 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, April 9, 2014 from the Burns Wornal Chapel of the Memorial Funeral Directory on the Athens Road in Princeton with Pastor Marvin Mills officiating. Burial will follow in the Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton with military graveside rites by the WV National Guard Honor Guard. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.1 He was buried at Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Courthouse Road, Princeton, Mercer Co., West Virginia.1 He was born on May 15, 1939 at Princeton, Mercer Co., West Virginia.1 He married Betty Radford circa 1961.1 Billy Ray Noble died on April 5, 2014 at Roanoke, Virginia, at age 74.1

Born April 3, 1924 at Princeton, she was the daughter of the late Gilbert J. and Edna Roberts Bratton Johnston. Mrs. Noble graduated from Princeton High School and had attended Concord College in Athens. She had worked for 18 years with the telephone company in Princeton as an operator. She along with her husband, Kenna founded and operated the Princeton Armature Company on the Old Pisgah Road in Princeton for over 20 years. She was a member of the Women’s United Methodist group of the church. Virginia was devoted to her husband, loved her children, and adored her grandchildren, she was a friend to many a person. She was preceded in death by one sister, Mary Katherine Snider; and three brothers; Aubrey Eugene Johnston, Frank Rufus Johnston, and Fred William Johnston. Survivors include her faithful husband of 52 years, Kenna D. Noble; two daughters and sons-in-law, Jackie L. Belcher and husband, Jerry Douglas Belcher Jr. of Princeton, and Barbara Parks and husband, Robert Parks of Milledgeville, Ga; five grandchildren, Kenna William Parks and wife, Lisa, Billy Ray Parks, James Brian Parks and wife, Kathy, Ginny Michelle Treolo and husband, Mike, and Brian Douglas Belcher; step great-grandson, Jamey; and one brother, James Edwin Johnston Gibson of Fernandina Beach, Fla. The family acknowledged that they were blessed to have had many helping hands during Mrs. Noble’s illness, special friends that cared and helped were Charlotte Mills, Helen Abshire, Thelma Thomas, Boots Waddell, Regina Stull, Alma Belcher, Heather Allen, Georgia Bailey, Karen Watts, Ann Howard, and Ruth Albert. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Monday from the Burns Wornal Chapel of the Memorial Funeral Directory on the Athens Road in Princeton with the Rev. Brian Long officiating. Burial will follow in the Roselawn Memorial Gardens on the Courthouse Road in Princeton. Pallbearers will be Tim Howard, Jerry Belcher, Don Meadows, Don Stull, Kermit Wiley, and Nick Wiley. on December 16, 2001.3
