Born July 7, 1918 in Ieager, she was the daughter of the late Charles Easley and Fannie Mae Hylton Gordon. She was a retired nurse having worked for Princeton Memorial Hospital and Bluefield Hospital. She was a member of the Princeton Church of God. She was also a member of the Daughters of the Confederacy, Daughters of the American Revolution and Princeton Camera Club where she served as President and Secretary. She was preceded in death by five brothers, David W. Gordon, Percy L. Gordon, Eugene W. Gordon, Will Gordon and Walter Gordon; four sisters, Bessie Fink, Lucy Fink, Georgia Fink and Eva Nichols; and an infant daughter, Barbara Lucille Hall. Survivors include her husband of 72 years, Thurman Eugene Hall of Princeton; one daughter, Hilda Joann Wilhelm and her husband Douglas of Cornelius, N.C; one son, Thurman Richard "Rick" Hall and his wife Virginia of Iron Station, N.C; four grandchildren, Joshua Dahlas Hall, Terri Wilhelm Reid, Douglas Richard Wilhelm and Rebecca Vanessa Wilhelm; four great-grandchildren; and one sister, Dorothy Hancock and her husband Ernie of Salem, Va. Burial will follow in the Hall Family Cemetery on Halls Ridge Road in Princeton. Pallbearers will be Jim Hilling, Jeremy Hilling, Jason Hilling, Douglas Wilhelm, Alan Reid and Sam Shires. on May 2, 2010.²

She was preceded in death by her parents, Thurman E. Hall and Lena Gordon Hall or Princeton, WV.She is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, Douglas Wilhelm; children, Terri Reid, Doug Wilhelm and Becky Stillwell, all of Cornelius. She is also survived by her brother, Rick Hall; and nephew, Josh Hall of Lincolnton, NC. The five joys of her life were her grandchildren: Connor Reid (18), Ben Reid (16), Hannah Wilhelm (15), Jordan Reid (13) and Blane Stillwell (2). Joann loved spending time with her family and was most happy when she was at the ball field, talking, or playing with her grandchildren. She loved being Memaw and will be missed tremendously. A graveside will immediately follow in the Gilead ARP church Cemetery. on July 26, 2016.⁴

     Donald Ray Hall was buried at Hall Cemetery, Hall's Ridge Road, Princeton, Mercer Co., West Virginia.^2,5,7 His Social Security Number was 233-68-0132.⁴ He was born on March 8, 1943 at Princeton Meadows, Mercer Co., West Virginia.^{2,3,4,5,8,9,7} He married Judith Ann Barbour on October 21, 1970 at Narrows, Giles Co., Virginia.^3,5,6,7 Donald Ray Hall died on April 17, 1991 at Roanoke, Virginia, at age 48.^2,5 He Donald Ray Hall, 48, formerly of the Princeton area, died Wednesday, April 17, at a Roanoke, Va., hospital. Born March 8, 1943, at Princeton, he was the son of Dorothy Hall Harvey and stepfather, R.G. Harvey of the Halls Ridge Road, Princeton. Mr. Hall was a self-employed construction worker and had served in the U.S. Navy during the Cuban missile crisis and the Merchant Marines with eight years of service. He was preceded in death by one daughter, April Hall. Other survivors include his wife, Judith A. Barbour Hall; two sons, PFC John R. Hall of the U.S. Army with the 101st Airborne at Ft. Campbell, Ky., and Justin Michael Hall, a student at Matoaka High School; three sisters, Mrs. Bob (Mary) Hill and Mrs. Bill (Lillie “Dee”) Lawrence, both of Nashville, Tenn., and Mrs. Roger (Alice) Perdue of Narrows, Va., and a brother, Thomas Harvey of Princeton. Burial will be in the Hall Family Cemetery on the Halls Ridge Road, Princeton. on April 19, 1991.⁷
